Let me first say the game should be a good one and I can't wait for it. With that being said as an LSU fan I figured I would add to all of this. As far as our spring game we did not play our interior linemen on defense or our middle linebacker. So our defensive side should be even better than what you saw. We will be extremely fast all over the field on defense as we return arguably one of the best secondary in the country. Patrick Peterson is an All American corner and the best in the nation by most of everyone in the media. Opposite of him we will have So. Morris Claiborne who by many reports has turned heads since he has got here. Lots of reports that these two will be one of the best corner tandems in the country. Behind them we have some good prospects at the SS and FS positions including an experienced Corner turned Safety in Jai Eugene where he is more naturally fit. who was a top 10 rated DB out of high school and has three year experience. Will be splitting time with Craig Loston as well who was the number one rated safety out of high school in 2009 by Rivals, Scout, and ESPNU. At SS we return a experienced starter from last year in Brandon Taylor who is a speedster with very good cover skills. The Linebackers will be somewhat new but were all highly regarded out of high school and will be anchored by one of the top regarded middle linebackers in the country Kelvin Sheppard. Under LSU's DC John Chavis one thing is for sure our linebackers will be a strength as that's his forte. Our defensive line will be a bit smaller compared to years past but they are extremely athletic and fast across the board and should be better than the previous few years by far with the new guys stepping in and the rotation change as well the added depth.

On offense we have retooled our offensive line and they should produce much better than last year which is a major cause for how our season turned out last year added with the fact we have to go with a young green QB for the second year in a row. This year things should be different as stated before the line has been retooled and everyone coming back on the line has gotten bigger and stronger. We will finally be starting a QB with a full year of SEC play under his belt and by all reports has improved head and shoulders in Jordan Jefferson. Our run game last year suffered from injuries and a lack of a productive offensive line which should not be the case this year. We have a big back who can pound the ball with deceptive speed in Ridley and will finally be seeing highly recruited RFR Mike Ford who is tremendous with the ball in his hands and has good hands out of the backfield and has extremely great vision. We also have Richard Murphy who has good size and a great first step and breakaway speed and good hands. Our WR corps should be one of the best in the nation with number one wr out of high school in SR Terrence Toliver who has great size and a knack for gaining yards after the catch and opposite of him you have Rueben Randle who has size and ability and can out jump defenders and make the catch. Has extremely great hands and was the most sought after WR in 2008 as the number one WR in the country. Adding more threat is number one Duel Threat QB Russell Shepard who has moved to WR and will be used all over the field much like Percy Harvin was used at Florida. Has the ability to make more than one defender miss and a threat to score every time he touches the ball. Will be used all over the field in many roles creating mismatches on the field this year. You will see him lined up inside and outside as well as in the backfield and in the Wildcat QB position. Behind everyone listed you have tons of talented depth and new hires on the offensive side. This year most look for LSU to be much much improved.

As far as the game goes the crowd will be extrmely tough and the only chance I can see WV winning this one is to jump on LSU early and never let up. If you manage to get the crowd out of it you might have a chance but that's easier said than done. You'll be playing in a 92,000 crowd of drunken fools who scream to the top of their lungs non stop. I can't wait for this game...It should be a great game I just don't see LSU losing this one. One thing that will be a focus and a concern is stopping Devine. If LSU is able to contain Devine from running wild I think we walk easy, If he is able to do his thing it might be closure than most think but I think this team will give up few points and score many this year. Good luck and for those of you coming to the game feel welcome to walk up to our tailgates for free food and drink. We might rag on you a bit but if your in good spirit everything will be fine and I can't wait to meet some of you as I have always heard our fan bases have a lot in common as far as fan bases go. Anyone coming should have a great time in Tiger Stadium most always do and love to come back. And for whoever mentioned it was called Death Valley for a reason is correct but way back when it was suppose to be called DEAF Valley for a reason but people got it confused and it just kinda stuck either way WV is in for one hell of a fight!

Mountaineers! Just wanted to tell you how much we are looking forward to playing ya'll in BR come Sept 25th. I am stationed in Afghanistan with a Batallion from West Virginia so as you can imagine, there is a lot of friendly smack talking going on. I am taking leave and going home for the game. I have also been invited to come to Morgantown next year for the game. As soon as airline tickets are available i am booking mine! Looking forward to a great time..... and if there are any of you coming to BR let me know! Can let you know where all the fun is at!

Everyone RELAX. I have full confidence in the coaching and recruiting staff. I have high expectations as well. I would rather have a so called 2 star( what ever that means)then a 4 or 5 star that can't read or write and has to have his hand held to walk him to class. This only causes more discipline and distraction problems. Look at the Carolina gamecock baseball team winning the National Championship with an average Joe team this year. They were all 2 stars.

rool, you obviously don't keep up with recruiting. Vance Roberts is our best Recruit he's a 4*, an I don't see why your bitching, obviously these kids have something the coaches see, an they still haven't even played there senior season of football, they could be 4 and 5 stars at the end of the season. Also I don't put much stock into the rating systems anyway they are usually biased. Also I agree with everyone who has stated that we don't know jack about these players like the coaches do, so I'd suggest just waiting until Feb.

P.S.--Sorry if you don't get this, but it seriously took them 3 months to add one lane of trafic to a 200 yard section of road and repave it...and still got it wrong.

Hey I'm not defending the gop's efforts from about 02 on but the other side of the isle has some blame as well. and to steal a line from the left, who knows how bad the market would have been had Gwub not made those tax cuts. It's proven across time that the private sector creates jobs not the government and the private sector isn't going to create business to provide jobs unless someone's getting rich. I love rich people, I say tax them less anyway. Rich people gives us a place to work. The government gives us a job until they run out of rich people's money.

Hey, it's the offseason. The time when fans rip out other fans' throats just for the pure entertainment value of it. With no games to watch, we've got to do something to keep our minds occupied.

Maybe it's just been a lousy day, but this got my blood to boiling. I was bored and decided to lurk around a few of the EPSN message boards (namely WVU's first, and then scUM's). I rarely post on the WVU board there, and even more rarely post anywhere else. It didn't take me long to be reminded why I quit going there (to the wolverine's MB).

I can handle the smack talk that goes on between the teams. Yeah, it makes me mad sometimes, but hey, that's the price I have to pay when I troll for scUM. But one of their members made a comment that got my blood to boiling. Apparently it isn't enough for them to bash our team; now their members are starting to bash coal miners.

Maybe I'm just being touchy, but this hit me wrong. With the recent mining tragedies, you'd think this idiot could've shown a little more class. As I said before, I rarely post there, but I couldn't resist putting that idiot in his place. I'm sure I'll be lambasted by his cronies, but that's okay.
