Selfishly, I'm going to miss being able to go see them play in person at Seton Hall, when St. Johns has them at the Garden and to be able to go to the BE tournament. As a Mountaineer fan, the 2010 run in the BE tourney ranks at the top of experiences.

I agree with you regarding Holgy and having the right people in the right places. I think if you look at the rise of Oklahoma State football, however, you will see a correlation between the cash that T. Boone Pickens has been pumping into the program and the quality of the teams they put on the field.

I couldn't agree with you more about bailing a player out. In my game Friday night I had all three of my pet peeve bailout plays and my partners f'ed one of them up. In basketball they are 1. the uncontrolled pinball down the lane. 2. The dribble 2 feet behind the backboard jump backward then look at me because I don't call the foul and 3. The really talented dribble into double coverage in the corner and look at me for a slap on the arm.

The third one happens while I am beside the coach. Coach says, "Did you see that body contact!" (It was really pretty minimal) "Sorry coach, I missed that. I did how ever see your best ball handler dribble into double coverage and get pinned in the corner.

I coach youth soccer and have a lot of friends that are soccer officials, I wonder if it is not because of less competitiveness in the soccer officiating. I see a lot of soccer officials that don't apply advantage disadvantage. For example, I had a girl break free from a little contact on a break away and the official whistled a foul on the other team. He was puzzled that I was perturbed. At half time he came over to me and asked me why I was upset. (I didn't say anything when the play happened but even my wife said the look on my face was one of being upset). I told him "My girl had a breakaway to the net and you blew the whistle allowing the other team set up their defense. I would have rather you swallow the whistle and let's see what happens. This would have been a "game management" lesson all basketball officials would have learned even down to this level. I know that I have friends who are D1 officials in college soccer but are the same as I in basketball (High school/small college start).

I remember when coach Ramsburg was at wvu. I actually had a class on baseball and did he did the teaching. It was interesting. Did he have a good record because I did not follow the baseball team when I was attending wvu.

When they have to get on treadmill, what are the mph's and length of time they have to run. From experience, if I'm at 9mph for more than a minute, I would probably fall off.
