I get where MichaelJLucasWV is coming from. It's always upsetting to see a good player with all kinds of potential to leave. I really like Allen myself. He brought some toughness and intensity. If anything, he just needed to work on some more fundamentals and his maturity. You could even tell in his interviews that he loves basketball and he's well spoken.

Regardless what anyone thinks of Hugs, his goal is to win or he doesn't have a job just like other coaches in this day and age. Still, this was Teddy's decision to transfer. I wish he would have stayed but I don't look down on him for wanting to leave. This happens in football to. WVU isn't for everyone but it is for the guys like Carter, Miles and for all the other tough and unselfish players before them. Even the JUCOs like Paige and Phillip.

For sure. It'll be a lot like playing SFA 2 years ago. They're on a 13 game win streak and they are a well rounded team. Definitely can't over look them.

You say that now but how demoralizing would it be if they actually beat us. Evidently we can't stop good shooting teams and I do have to give them credit, they can shoot. That said, I don't think they'll beat Wichita St.

As of right now we're projected to possibly play KY again. Considering recent history, I'd like to avoid them. Hopefully they make a run in the SEC tourney and move up and out somewhere else.

I know it's an unpopular opinion but I would replace Harris with Ahmed. We have to get him going if we ever want to make it out of the first round.

I agree with this and I would add that Allen should start over Dax. That's a tough call cause Dax does play very good defense but we need offense and Allen can provide that. Until Dax can learn to not hoist up rushed 3s with plenty of time on the shot clock.

This would be the right game for Esa to get back on track and hopefully gain some confidence. There is no reason to think he can't be the player he was last year. I think Harris is improved but he makes very bad shooting decisions also. Harris and Dax have been a liability. Harris has 2 years left but he's just not ready.

Honestly, not many combinations will work unless they move without the ball better, pass better and quit leaving shooters WIDE open on the defensive end. I think they would have a better chance defensively if they would press half court then quickly come back to man defense. We have a tendency to double the guy coming up the court after they pass half court which continues to leave shooters open and to this point, those shooters aren't missing much.

If I'm not mistaken we were favored by 10 against KY and we saw what happened. One of the only things I found to be somewhat accurate is the ESPN percentage indicator. Against TT, it had TT as over a 70% win possibility. It was similar against TCU in their favor

If I were playing against the spread then I would take the points until our boys can get their S#!T together.

Very similar to Kennedy McKoy. I have a feeling that McKoy will be the man when Crawford is done as long as his shoulder holds up. Having another guy like him in the waiting is always a good thing. Just if we had the same success in getting a good QB as we do with RBs then we'd be in great shape.

I'm not surprised that he's still here. While he's provided consistent improvement, we still haven't made it to the post season. Hopefully that'll change this year and hopefully he chooses to build a dynasty here.

2 outs and 5 runs later...Cole falls apart worse than any pitcher I've ever seen.

Finally opening day. Looking forward to seeing the new pitching rotation, bullpen and position players. I'm anticipating a better year than last. Last year was full of injuries and didn't reflect how good they could have been. Here's to a healthy and successful year....Go Bucks!!

With all that said, I could see Vandy taking the Zags down in the 2nd round.

Looking at Bucknells schedule. They actually beat Vandy but got slaughtered by Butler and Wake. There isn't many games to compare in regards to us. The only ones are Manhattan and MSM which we annihilated. Interesting draw but I'm in agreeance with most others here, it's a good spot for us considering other regions we could have ended up in.

Not trying to look ahead but I honestly think the previous Zags teams were better than one this year. I think it's a product of a very weak conference which reflects on their record.

His game reminds me of Jason Williams and he turned out to be pretty good. I still to this day watch old JWill highlights.

I haven't looked at the roster but I think that Coastal lost a lot of talent from last year. Either that or they were in the middle of the pitching rotation. Regardless, glad we got a wakeup call from the first 2 games of the season. Hopefully we can ride the momentum for a while.

I'm going to try to relax for this game, you guys are favored by 8 I think but we don't really have anything to lose so I think we will play loose (hopefully). Your style doesn't match up with our style so great, but I think it will be closer than the game in Ames. Good luck WVU, looking forward to the game and also for your seniors to graduate haha!

Depends on how the game is called. I complain about big 12 officiating on a regular basis but it's like beating a dead horse. Seems like home teams always have an advantage, especially on senior night (ask Baylor). I wouldn't be surprised if the refs actually let us play defense tonight.

Who am I kidding, actually I would be surprised considering they haven't favored us all season. If we can keep the ball out of Morris hands like the last time then I think we have a fairly good chance. I respect Iowa St unlike some of the other teams in the big 12. They're like us and don't have to be carried though games by officiating.

I'm not sure how we won that game. I think the call against Fisher was close, but he did bump Miles. Probably a make up call for the previous 10 times we got hammered with no call.

BTW why does Miles have the ball at the end of the game? Why not Tarik or Jevon?

Tarik has failed us in the past and he turns it over too much. He has it and he probably gets called for a charge or turns it over. They were probably expecting Carter to have it. Glad Dax stepped up for once.

I agree that can be viewed as a makeup call. They called bumps against us all game while we get mugged at the basket.
