I always felt Leavitt was unhinged (even before he proved it by whacking a player)

Hate to say it but he's more proven than DeForest. With other coaches coming off the menu so fast, we might end up with a extra-large shipment on Pepto into WV soon.

Sad to say, but the Turk is correct: between an unproven DeForest as the SOLE Defensive coordinator, or Dunlap, we'd be better off with Dunlap (I now have to go wash my mouth out with soap)

I, too, want to thank Casteel for his many years of service. I thanked him in the other threads as well, but just in case you guys didn't see that, I wanted to make certain you all knew I appreciated him

I have a prediction:

Unless he recruits a starter-ready Pat White clone at QB, RR will be unable to recreate the three-year magic he had at WVU. He couldn't even do it with Shoelaces at UM.

Unless he can install a 3-3-5 with the players AZ has now, it will take Casteel 2-3 years to recruit to the system in an area that none of the D coaches have ever recruited before.

By the time Casteel gets his D in place, the U of A will be wondering why the hell they hired RR in the first place.

The PAC-12 competition will be much stiffer than the watered-down Big East that we dominated under RR.

Conclusion: Three years from now, AZ will be hiring yet another coaching staff.

I think all of those predictions are quite astute and likely to come to fruition. I hope Casteel and Lockwood can land on their feet somewhere before Dick Rod crashes and burns again (Kirlav will just retire)

I hope he loses every game at Arizona as well, but I hope the score of each game is 3-0 so they have to pin the blame on Dick Rod instead of Casteel

You'll hear nothing negative from me about JC. I wish him the best. He's been a loyal Mountaineer and left classy.

I also hope that he gets a HC offer before AU's defense gels and he takes his whole defensive staff with him and leaves Fraud in horrible shape.

I, too, want JC to get a HC job before Dick Rock has time to fully corrupt him (i.e., Gibby...er...Mini-Me)

We were fine before Casteel and we will be fine afterwards. This maybe a move he regrets. I would like to see a defence that is more aggressive putting more pressure on the qb and play tighter on passing downs. Good bye dumbass.

I respect JC and appreciate all of his years of service to our program. However, I also miss the aggressive, pass-pressure, rush-LB blitzing defenses that we once had (Remember Canute Curtis and Gary Stills - man, those were fun years to watch our defense). I hope our new scheme, whatever it is, will add those elements back in

That's strange (losing the title). Do you recall the last title you had before you lost it?

I knew you never aspired to catch Marty. I realize you post for the posts and he posts for the post count

SJ, at almost 14,000 posts, why do you no longer have a title like "Pitt Hater," "Noob," etc.? Did you ask to have the title removed, or is there a point (10,000 perhaps) at which they just can't come up with anymore titles?

Also, as I recall you weren't the post number leader a couple of years ago. It may have been Marty (seems like he was really proud of that distinction). Have you passed him yet or is he at something astronomical like 40,000?

Just wondering

No WVUmtnEER, not really. It's just interesting that on this rare occasion that I look at anything else on this site other than the Funny Pics, there is a member being cannibalized for not putting his info in the proper thread. It seems like that the vitriol is extremely common here, the main reason I just stick to Funny Pics - everyone is happy there

I should also add that Dice Mogul is a fun game. TOS had a bunch of really great games but they dropped the arcade. I'm not sure why. It was a shame too - I held several high scores.

So if you like video games, the Couch is certainly rhe place to be

It all started with that douchebag you all blow daily over there posting premium content (verbatim) from a subscription website. Jude & Co. were required to do something about it.

Why are you even here anyway if you don't like it...you've obviously found a place where you're happy....go back and let bygones be bygones.

You are misinformed. He was banned because the recruiting section of this message board was all that anybody cared about, and the webmasters got their collective panties in a bunch about it. He was actually trying to keep others from sharing premium information (because it was becoming a problem). I believe it was Jude that sent an e-mail to him recognizing that he did nothing wrong and was not supposed to be banned. They then reinstated him, but the damage was already done, 1/3 to 1/2 of the membership at the time left, and the webmasters then had to spin it as if they actually did the right thing. Troubling that so many goobers believed them.

Nevertheless, I still love the funny picture thread. It's hilarious

Wow! That was really wishful thinking. There have always been "couch police" on here that whine about every little faux pas post of others, but the past few years have really been nothing but bitterness and negativity from many posters. The "kinder, gentler" members (or former members) broke free and went to a different fan site several years ago. I guess you'll just have to make the best of what you have here because it appears you'll be stuck with it. Good luck!

Funny...

At least people can have their own opinions here unlike that 'different fan site' you speak of, where you get banned if your line of thinking doesn't agree with what the Admins think.

Perhaps that is Bill Stewart's destiny - to make the destroyed and disillusioned teams in the Big East feel better via a whipping of WVU. Come one and all - come suckle on the BS teat

A lot of people are out in 'full force'. People are ticked, including moderators of websites all over Mountaineer nation. The ones who are/were Stew supporters are probably about at wits end.

Just be careful how you say "mountaineer nation" - especially in the present hostile climate
