Lindawood...I like that!! He is a big ol boy and can lay the wood for sure. I expect to see Holgy's 3 back system(with Lindamood)=the Diamond will put two running backs and a fullback with the quarterback behind the five offensive linemen. Two receivers split out wide with no need for a tight end. Seems to created gaps and angles by removing the tight end's defender from near/off the line of scrimmage.

With three ball-carriers eligible, Holgy will be able to design deception, prevent the defense from focusing on a single back.

Ya'll remember when we had a 3 back system...seems sooooo long ago:)

According to WTAE-TV in Pittsburgh –take appropriate-sized grain of salt now — Pittsburgh has selected Bradley as their new head coach. Neither Pitt nor Penn State has officially confirmed the move, and there’s no indication as to when — or if — it will become official.

Hmmm I have not heard of ANY OSU recruits following DH. As a matter a fact the only one that has come out and said anything is JW Walsh QB. He just stated he was 100% OSU. I'm not saying your wrong, but I follow recruiting (too much...way too much lol) and I have not heard of a single player who is wanting to flip to OSU...now some pitt players yes...

Anyway, I hope everyone (yo Beast) has a great holiday season.

Stew's stupid 20 scholarship rule is really going to hurt in years like this one when WVU needs so much, but decide to horde five scholarships for walk-ons.

great idea, in concept, but tough to do when you have kids:
1. from DC who have great grades but low scores (something is going on there)and can't qualify or
2. Leave b/c they feel they need early playing time or just don't work hard enough either in class or on the field
I'm not going to respond to u if you refer to our coaches as "stupid" or in any other derogatory way. They are people who have been in this business for many yrs and deserve some respect.

Stew can't just take 20/yr, for now. Once we have 4-5 yrs of recruiting, then maybe.

SaneJane,

Did you see the Louisville game? Maybe we should try to get WR that can catch the ball. LOL. I swear we dropped 14 points right there. 7 sure ones in the end zone and the drive died on the drop along the sidelines by Baily.

There was an abnormal amount of dropped passes during the Lou game, but Bailey is a good (developing into a great) receiver. Sticks/McCartney will be a HUGE deep threat next yr, but he is a Fosh and needs to develop physically. He had planned on being in Motown in the spring but had enrollment problems so was late getting into the S&C program. Sticks was highly recruited out of FL, but opted to come to WVU over Miami and other schools.

Again, lets keep this to recruiting and not coach bashing...isn't that what the football thread is for

Sorry all I'm hearing are JUCO OL...next yr we go after several. We missed this yr on Turner...unless he opts out of UNC, which is possible. I believe they lost 2 recruits to VT this week.

I wouldn't worry about FL. While Doc was a great recruiter, Galloway is also strong in FL. We have ties there beyond a single coach. Remember Galloway also opens the Carolinas and GA, in addition to FL.He recruited for App State very well!!!

BB will transfer in the spring, probably to Memphis, seems to be the consensus amongst people I talk to or read on the internet. So u can take it with a grain of salt or whatever.

Also Roo u mentioned FL and TX as great places to recruit. I know TX is a BIG target for us...notice we have a recruit from there this yr and JJ is from TX...they r trying.

I'm really not sure if our defense is really that good or are the teams we are playing that bad.

We will see this weekend if Zach Collaros plays. I believe, at the time we have played our opponents, they are ranked below the 100 mark in overall offense. Cinn is ranked much higher. I hope the D continues to dominate and the O shows up for at least 1/2 the game.

UNC seems to be keeping theirs together and they are in some deep spitt...I think our class, that we have verbals from now, is fine. It's the few who may have been leans/silent verbals that may start to waiver...one thing is for sure, if we do change the OC or HC position we need someone with a strong recruiting background and ties in TX. OL really wants WVU to hit TX on the recruiting front...at least thats what im hearing.

Birdc,

Jeffery hits on a major point, you have a couch with a metal frame. I've burned many a couch in my days, but only 1 with a metal frame. I'm not sure what you are going for (as far as the art part). I recommend (if you can do this outside) having a fire going thats very hot but with a low flame (no flame preferred, place the couch on top of the existing coals then ignite it. It will help to melt the metal portion

$8000.00 couch WOW that maybe the most expensive couch burned in the history of WVU sports/couch burning.

I wish you luck

So what? Who the f*** is he?

He won 11 Sportswriter if the Year Awards while at SI. He just went to ESPN recently.

Oh and this occurred in his life in 2004 "Reilly, the millionaire columnist for ESPN, wrote a damning piece for Sports Illustrated in 2004 about then-Colorado football coach Gary Barnett and a female kicker who claimed she was raped by a couple of her teammates. Reilly blasted Barnett, saying the coach didn't properly monitor the more than 100 players on his team. Reilly never mentioned that just weeks before police investigated a sexual-assault allegation that stemmed from a high school party at Reilly's Denver home. Reilly was not at home at the time. But his children allegedly hosted a party at his home and a 14-year-old girl claimed she was assaulted by two high school football players."

He also blasted Huggs when he went to K-state.

I can tell you this, if he ever shows his face in WV and I or anyone else is around I know, we will treat him to dinner...his last.

Cousins was easily the most frustrated man on the court for much of the night. Employing its incredibly effective 1-3-1 zone -- with the 6-foot-2 Mazzula often the "1" under the basket -- West Virginia continually denied entry to the freshman. Time and again, Mazzulla successfully wrestled with a man eight inches taller.

"At one point in the game, he looked at me and said 'Are you serious?'" said Mazzulla. "I said, 'Yeah, I'm serious. You're going to have to punch me in the face for me to get off you.'"

Cousins is NOT a beast. The refs were on him and walls nuts :) all night. Cousins would have fouled out by half time if the refs didn't bail him out with traveling calls instead of fouls. Every time walls drove, the refs were just waiting to blow their effin whistles....WE WON DESPITE THE REFS!!!!
