Looks like Huggins left for California this morning to recruit a couple players. On being Kenyon Martin Jr. Wonder what the chances are we land him? Also has offers from Cincinnati and Butler I believe. Not sure who else

Routt is a walk-on who was given a scholarship because we had one available. Doubt he'll get it next year.

If your 4 are McCabe, Doomes, Gordon and Culver, I haven't read that McCabe is signed yet and Culver may or may not ever arrive.

If all 4 show up, even if Routt goes back to walk-on status, we still have an extra player.

If I had to guess, I'd say that Hunter is currently the last man off the bench, but who knows?

Well they have all signed LOT’’s so you would have to assume they are all going to be on campus. Culver is in prep school so I’m sure he will make grades. Gordon is Jr college. And Doomes and McCabe idk why they would show up unless they didn’t have grades and went to prep school.

As far as taking the scholarship from Routt that would be Pretty shitty but whatever. I’m fine with getting rid of Bender he is terrible but idt Huggs would do that? Maybe I’m wrong

Pretty good first half. But. All our first half’s are good. Let’s see what happens. Also Dax don’t shoot the ball anymore.

Yea! So we can be highly ranked and win the first 4 then lose the next 5! Drop out of the top25 and play in the pinstrip bowl where no WVU fans show up. CANT WAIT

Boys the wheels have fallen off and this bus is in flames. We are going finish close to last in league play. We will get a low seed into the tournament. I guess that’s all that matters.

sigh..... I went to the game yesterday. For the first time this year and some of my take aways are..

Esa is the slowest person on the court.
Beetle needs to start.
Dax adds nothing to the team but a little defense.
Didn't even notice West on the court.
And Teddy is young.

Well it’s going to be a loss. Our defense sucks. Especially Ahmad and Allen. So tired of hearing about how good they are. The only time we win games is when the other team is cold. It’s that simple. We will have a good season but won’t be so lucky in the tournament

Uh no. This isn’t the snowflake conference. Rush the court at your own risk. And after watching the video in HD it was Harris then Sags jumped in and another player I can’t identify. Everyone was then quickly rushed off the court with their hands in the air.

PS - Esa and Sags do NOT have dribble drive skills. So why does Huggy put them in position to even try. How many times do they have to trip over the ball before Huggy learns.

You are correct, Huggy didn’t do his finest job today. Sags and Bender can’t dribble. Don’t let them. I’m ok with Sags taking that jumper but no dribbling. They shouldn’t have gone zone, that allowed a good shooting team to get hot. I get why they did it cause of the baloney foul situation but I’d have rode it out doing what we were doing and trust JC not to foul again (also JC ALWAYS does a ticky-tack hand foul 80 feet from the hoop 4 min into the game...JUST STOP).

Also can’t have West shooting biggest **** of game...must go thru JC come hell or high water, really disappointed in that.

Need to beat KU Monday

Idk man West has made some shots. And JC isn’t just going to be able to get open for the big shot. He is always face guarded at those times. But we had a chance to win we just missed the big shots and they didn’t. Simple.

Well since it was a haymaker coming from a left hand. I’m pretty sure it was Harris.

So Texas Tech heald Trey Young to seven points in the first half, and still only lead by two points at half time. It definitely makes me feel a little better heading into this game knowing that we beat a team soundly that had a solid win over TTU.

I think our chances are good as long as we can shoot better than we did against Baylor. I was told by someone yesterday that Esa would be in the starting line up for this game. Can anyone confirm that? I know starting doesn’t mean that he will be on the court for any extended period of time. Though I would think that if he is in the starting line up, that Huggins is feeling pretty good about his ability to contribute.

I’m sure he is since Harris was in the dog house the whole Baylor game pretty much. For what idk. But I’m excited to see him play. But worried if he doesn’t play well everyone is going to attack him in the twittosphere. But we shall see.

This thread has been dead since the early signing period. Time to resurrect it.

There has been some attrition of late. junior OL Ray Raulerson, junior WR Ricky Rogers, junior DL Jalen Harvey, and sophomore OL-DL Alec Shriner appear to no longer be Mountaineers. Raulerson and Harvey were only here for a year and both got beat out by younger and better players (Matt Jones and Lamonte McDougle). Rogers showed some flashes at times but never seemed to put it together. Shriner was buried on the depth chart. That gives WVU 80 scholarships right now. I don't know the status of Jonn Young. I'm not sure he is recovering from injuries last year. The jury is still out.

That means there are 5 slots open for unsigned players. I assume Jayce Rogers and Tavis Lee will sign. That will leave three spots. Tony Gibson has made it clear he wants a DL and a CB. They probably need a NT or big DE who can play right away. I would think they would also want a JUCO or grad transfer CB. I would think a JUCO or GT OL would be a priority too.

Vincent Gray, a high school CB target, is making his official visit to Michigan this weekend. I assume he will commit there.

So here is how I think the last slots will be filled

Jayce Rogers
Tavis Lee
JUCO or grad transfer OL
JUCO or grad transfer DL
JUCO or grad transfer CB
Angus Davies if Jonn Young can't come back

Thoughts?

I guess I agree. I don’t have enough knowledge to argue. The only thing would be don’t we have enough Dlineman already ? What’s coming in and what we have Idk why we would take another unless they are very talented.
