One of the papers suggested a lineup of:
G. Carter
G. Miles
F. Macon
F. Konate
F. Ahmad

With Macon being the front of press.

I would be interested to see this lineup on floor. Macon seems like that high energy guy but not sure he could last 30 minutes on floor.

Looks good to me. Really anxious to see Konate's development.

F that place. F their fans, their dumbass neckties, and their overwhelming sense of entitlement. If I ever have to go back, it'll be too soon.

Right now, no...officially. But, it seems involved parties are really optimistic about him being cleared for the start of the season. No date has been announced concerning the ruling on the appeal, as far as I know.

If I'm not mistaken, the Seiders are from Belle Glade...we should have a shot.

Here's my take:

1. If you boo an amateur athlete playing for a school team, you're kind of a douche. Boo the coaches, boo the AD, hell boo the President...they're paid (very well paid) professionals who have accepted the fact that their tenure in that position is going to be based on success.

2. Skyler has exceeded a lot of expectations. I mean, for God's sake, he's a completely off-the-map Juco kid who is going to have his name inked in the record books alongside and AHEAD of WVU legends. Don't get me wrong, there have been times (probably more than a few) where I melted into the bleachers at MPS after he **** himself on the field...but there were also many times where he orchestrated plays that were so exciting I damn-near dry humped my wife in the stands.

3. If we're being honest, let's be honest...he was not SUPPOSED to be the starting QB here, not on a regular basis. A solid arm and strong competitor to push Crest and be his backup. Skyler was not intended to be "next". He earned "next". The dude busted his ass and took the job. Is it his fault he's the best QB we have? Is that a fault? If his year ends at the Missouri game...we're freaking Kansas.

4. He is limited physically, and may have a touch of little-man syndrome, but where would this team be for the last 2 years without him? In a word...gutter.

Agreed. Which actually takes the some pressure off because the number beside our name means nothing. Try to win out. Hope someone clips Okie St along the way. Winner gets auto bid to the Sugar as Big 12 champ.

Saturday will be my first trip to Mountaineer Field since beer has been sold there.

What are the selections?

Cans, plastic bottles, draft?

Price?

How many beer stands?

Bud, bud light, coors light, miller light

Some craft beers (can't remember which kinds, like em, but way too expensive for my pocket)

16 oz cans, $7.50 (see first line) and drafts

Not enough stands to make a quick trip unless you go while we're driving, 11 mins in the first quarter

PS - for those of you who dislike initials as much as I do ... he is talking about Gibson, White and Shorts. But you left out Durante and maybe even Jennings. Just saying.

For those of you who hate over-caps'd posts like I do...I'm pretty sure you picked up on that. Now before you wear that caps lock out, settle down...just bustin' balls. Yes, I hope those two also have big games, but TTU (sorry, Texas Tech University) tends to struggle with power, not speed. That being said, I totally agree with your tight end statement. Durante will have to make plays in tight coverage (not his strong suit, but we'll see) and get vertical quickly. Jennings has been little more than a bit player on offense to this point. I hope this is his breakout game for the season.

Bold prediction - Keep an eye on Kennedy McCoy this game. If he gets touches, he may pop off.

I figure TTU will be looking to stop the run. With our RB's they know what we are going to want to do. We should still be able to run all over them, but Skylar and the WR's better be ready to put up some points too. I just hope Crawford runs all over them for 200+ and a few TD's. Keep their O off the field and frustrated. We can win this game handily if we limit mistakes and control the clock. We should have no issues putting up some points.

I really hope they sell out to stop the run, because I'm not sure they can. That'll leave SG, KW, and DS running free downfield. If we can gash them, despite their best efforts, we'll score a bunch. We need to go straight up their prune shoot. They hate being "big boy'd" worse than we do. If we set the tone, we win...but, we have to get 7's not 3's.

My quick take...

Offense: We're going to be fine. Their D was not going to be topped off, we did a good job off taking what we could (we missed a couple, but everyone saw what happened when we forced things). Our O-line was fantastic against that front. Howard is as gritty as 36 sandpaper.

Defense: Played well, but still too early to tell. They were terrible.

ST: Did their part, played well. Man that's nice to say.

Offense: Here's hoping it's Howard. Kid's got grit, and he's tough. Sometimes tough is enough (a little accuracy never hurts, though).

Defense: Preston. Not sure what he did to sit, but I think he makes up for it.
