I agree, UGA has looked really good, may be elite.

Speaking of McCoy, anybody know what's up with him? Haven't seen him all game.

Sideline reporter on radio said he wasn't hurt. Didn't know why he's not playing.

Sure hope it's not a head case situation.

Got power back in Dunedin last night at 7 - almost 72 hours without it. House is fine, a few limbs down, a section of the privacy fence blown down. We were lucky, there's a tree on a house and another on a boat in our neighborhood.

DanG - Chop, Illegal block in the back, illegal use of hands, whatever it takes. You're gonna get it worse than me, though, I'm afraid. You're not in an evacuation zone, are you?

And JBolt, you got things under control?

Pretty nervous on the west coast. They've moved the path more to the west a couple of times in the last 24 hours. Grocery and hardware stores are nuts. Trimming trees, cleaning up everything out of the yard - plants, pots, furniture, lawn ornaments - leaving the WV banner to the last minute. Start boarding up windows tomorrow.

All prayers are appreciated.

From Dana's presser on 9/5, courtesy MSN sports:

"On if redshirt junior Billy Kinney was hurting against Virginia Tech:
"He was cramping, which I can't explain. I get how (junior wide receiver) Gary Jennings falls out because he ran over 10 miles. I get him falling out. They had No. 22, who is a really, really good player at safety, I get how he was in full-body cramps. I can't explain how Billy Kinney is having full-body cramps, but he did and it affected his punting. Hopefully that doesn't happen again.""

Don't want to ruin everyone's fun, but it may not be as bad as everyone is making it out to be...

Sure you started "just now"? This is the basketball thread.

We had 221 yards rushing and averaged 6.3 yards per carry. I don't consider that being "snuffed out".

If anything, I wonder if we shouldn't have run the ball more, controlled the clock, and let the defense rest.

I dislike Texas and I'm tired of hearing about how they're "back" and that they're all of a sudden a conference contender and Tom Herman is going to win a national championship within 3 years, blah, blah, blah.

All that said, seeing how bad they look and all that I think I'd still like to see them beat UMD, for a few reasons. One being that Big 12 vs B1G. Another is that considering the pollsters history of knee jerk reactions to early wins over ranked teams they'd skyrocket UMD up the polls and they'd all of a sudden become a good win for everyone else in their lame conference.

I've got no love for Texas, but I want to see the B12 represent. Having said that, I still have a deep dislike of Maryland, built by years of watching them play us.

And that punt return makes it a 3 point game.

Rollie Massimino. Coached Villanova fro 20 years from 73-92, won a national championship in 85, beating Patrick Ewing's Georgetown team. They were a regular Big East foe back in the day.

Dick Gregory, ground-breaking African-American comedian and civil rights activist. From Wikipedia:

"Last time I was down South I walked into this restaurant and this white waitress came up to me and said, "We don't serve colored people here." I said, "That's all right. I don't eat colored people. Bring me a whole fried chicken."

Then these three white boys came up to me and said, "Boy, we're giving you fair warning. Anything you do to that chicken, we're gonna do to you." So I put down my knife and fork, I picked up that chicken and I kissed it. Then I said, "Line up, boys!"

"Just being a Negro doesn't qualify you to understand the race situation any more than being sick makes you an expert on medicine"
