Several here have complained about Lamont West; bad attitude, etc. Last night his stats read: 18 points, 10 rebounds, 60% FG (6-10) and 43% 3PT (3-7). His extended playing time due to the unfortunate injury to Harris. I would say the young man stepped up when called upon; stop complaining.

The 3 turnovers on the stat line are very understated. He gave it up MUCH more than that. Say what you will, but he was easily the sloppiest player on the team and easily cancelled out every point he scored. Hey, we need that stat....net points. Where's Talk when you need him?

Per ESPN; http://www.espn.com/mens-college-bask ... boxscore?gameId=401025865

He only had 2 turnovers but he also had 1 blocked shot so... I thought he played a good game considering the injury forced him into more action than he usually gets.

I get your point bud, but if you watched that game, it was much worse. For example, the multiple clumsy, non-top recruit drives that ended with offensive fouls. He should be better than that sloppy garbage by now.

He only had 2 personal fouls. And yes, I watched the game. We just came away with two different perspectives bud.

I am glad to see WVU back to the Sweet 16 and get a beat down win over Marshall. The team seems to be firing on all cylinders. However, I temper my excitement going forward. The team showed it's dominance over two mid-major teams that have not seen a defense like WVU's all season. I am sure that went a long way in securing the desicive victories. As they advance to the Sweet 16 to face Villanova I believe the competition just tripled; Villanova's guards will not be fazed by the press like the two previous teams. That doesn't mean it can't slow them down and force turnovers, just not at the rate as the first two games. A third person besides JC and Sags needs to emerge offensively and Villanova needs to have a slightly off day shooting 3s, whether it is due to defensive pressure or just chance. I don't believe WVU will get blown out, it will be close and WVU should have a chance to win.

Soon there will be no one left. This place has grown stagnant without the ability to accept new members. Is there a way to change that?

It takes a 28 point lead to win by 11 but it's still a win.

Let's go!

I couldn't help thinking, here we go again, BUT they proved me wrong. They gutted it out and Esa played huge down the stretch. Great game and must win to stay in the conversation.

With WVU losing three straight, previously, and to last place ISU, before the KSU game, its strange that ESPN predictor has slowly moved this game from 60% OU about a month ago, to 50/50 now. ESPN likes us more than they should, we've lost three games, Texas AM 70% favorites, Kentucky 75%, Iowa State 80%, The only game they didn't have us favored was the TTU game, I think the KU and TCU games were slight advantages to us too. Vegas had us favored in all those games too, except the TTU game. Short rest away game too. Be great to win this one but not expecting it.

Actually it makes sense considering Oklahoma's recent performances. All the added weight on his shoulders of carrying 9 other teammates is pooping Young out. I think they are taking that into consideration.

ESPN doesn't arbitrarily pick the percentages, they use an algorithm that factors various stats and rankings. Thus it changes on a daily/weekly basis.

Late to the party but my first car was a 1979 Oldsmobile Starfire; bought from my uncle in 1986. Drove that thing through college and my first year of marriage; sold it in 93.

Looked just like the picture in the link, except mine was silver.

Not being mentioned but the switch to the 1-3-1 in the middle of the 2nd half was a genius coaching move on Huggs. It cut the deficit to single digits and even though Missouri finally found a way to beat it and extend the lead back to double digits it kept the game from getting out of reach. It also preserved Miles and Carter's foul trouble for the last 5 minutes of press hell he unleashed.

Huggs is not a future Hall of Famer for nothing.

I forgot the game started at 6. Didn't turn it on until 6:30ish. At that time the score wad 21 - 7, good guys. Now they are losing by 7 at half.

I fully take the blame. I will go back to forgetting it is on.

We managed to win a game without scoring in the 2nd half. We'll take it.

Is that the 2nd top 25 win the season? 2 out of 4?

Yes, but against two typical middle to bottom of the pack teams. All of the statement making games against ranked opponents they lost. Still, great game. A good way to get back on track.

According to the chat box on his page he is. Always check the chat box. He usually posts whether or not he is going to stream a game.

The person who does Wild-life usually attends home games. He starts the stream but isn't there to fix any problems if they arise; which is what happened this past Saturday. With Baylor being an away game the stream should be up and running with relatively no issues.

After they went down by 18 I got frustrated and walk away from the tv to start working on a project in the backyard. I kept checking the game on my phone. When I saw they were only down by 11 at the start of the 4th quarter I decided come back in. Wow! What a quarter, 22-0.

WVU just hasn't won many big road games.

Today while listening to ESPNU Radio on SiriusXM, formally College Sports Nation, they said it has been 35 years since WVU football beat a top 10 team on the road in the regular season. That didn't seem right but when I got home I checked and they were correct. The last road win was @ Oklahoma in 1982.

I hope that changes tomorrow.

LET'S GOOOO...
