Late to the party but my first car was a 1979 Oldsmobile Starfire; bought from my uncle in 1986. Drove that thing through college and my first year of marriage; sold it in 93.

Looked just like the picture in the link, except mine was silver.

Not being mentioned but the switch to the 1-3-1 in the middle of the 2nd half was a genius coaching move on Huggs. It cut the deficit to single digits and even though Missouri finally found a way to beat it and extend the lead back to double digits it kept the game from getting out of reach. It also preserved Miles and Carter's foul trouble for the last 5 minutes of press hell he unleashed.

Huggs is not a future Hall of Famer for nothing.

Those last 5 minutes with the press was simply amazing.

I forgot the game started at 6. Didn't turn it on until 6:30ish. At that time the score wad 21 - 7, good guys. Now they are losing by 7 at half.

I fully take the blame. I will go back to forgetting it is on.

We managed to win a game without scoring in the 2nd half. We'll take it.

Is that the 2nd top 25 win the season? 2 out of 4?

Yes, but against two typical middle to bottom of the pack teams. All of the statement making games against ranked opponents they lost. Still, great game. A good way to get back on track.

is wv-wildlife functioning again ?

According to the chat box on his page he is. Always check the chat box. He usually posts whether or not he is going to stream a game.

The person who does Wild-life usually attends home games. He starts the stream but isn't there to fix any problems if they arise; which is what happened this past Saturday. With Baylor being an away game the stream should be up and running with relatively no issues.

After they went down by 18 I got frustrated and walk away from the tv to start working on a project in the backyard. I kept checking the game on my phone. When I saw they were only down by 11 at the start of the 4th quarter I decided come back in. Wow! What a quarter, 22-0.

"Country roads, take me home..."

WVU just hasn't won many big road games.

Today while listening to ESPNU Radio on SiriusXM, formally College Sports Nation, they said it has been 35 years since WVU football beat a top 10 team on the road in the regular season. That didn't seem right but when I got home I checked and they were correct. The last road win was @ Oklahoma in 1982.

I hope that changes tomorrow.

LET'S GOOOO...

Checking in.

I live in Zephyrhills, Pasco County, and the eye passed over us. By that time Irma had downgraded to a Cat. 1 but the wind and rain was still quite nasty.

Lost power for about 2 days. Due to my house being just under a mile from a hospital I think I benefited from being in or near their grid.

A big part of a tree fell in our backyard. Another tree kept it from hitting the main part of the house, instead it laid on the lanai (fancy Florida word for screened in back porch). Took several days to remove tree limb and all the debris.

Power is slowly being restored as there are still those without. Gas stations and grocery stores are slowly getting restocked.

No school the whole week with teachers reporting back today (I am a teacher) and students projected to return on Monday.

The most important thing, my family is safe and sound. This could have been way worse so there is much to be thankful for.

This hurricane has shown me I live in an amazing community that has come together to help each other in times of need.

Thank you for keeping us in your thoughts and prayers.

Good to hear brother.

Thanks!

And JBolt, you got things under control?

We have decided to stay. I would rather brave a storm instead of the crazies on the road.

We are in East Pasco County just north of Tampa. With Irma continuing to track West it depends on if/where it turns before I decide whether to board up the windows; they are already made and takes about an hour to put up. Our house is a standard Florida cinder-block structure. Besides that we are stocked up on food, water, gas in the car, propane for the grill, flashlights, first aid supplies, emergency radio, back up batteries for our phones, and BEER; never forget the beer. Everyone has overnight bags packed in case we need to bug out.

We are far enough inland that we don't have to worry about surges. If Irma does hit us it will probably be down to a Cat 2.

We have lived in Florida for 18 years; thus is not our first rodeo. Still, if Irma just keeps going West it won't hurt my feelings.

Thanks for thinking of us.

Be safe!
