We are usually un-noticed ...Where were we in AP Poll is B-Ball 2014? And where did we end up? I prefer shocking the pollsters...

Thanks for letting us know a teammate stood up for Geno. I found it interesting that the 2 darlings of the 2015 draft, Marcus and Jameis, struggled somewhat in their Pre-Season debut. The Jets threw Geno into the starting line-up way before he was ready. It is tough enough when you are the 1st drafted. His skill set as well as his own maturity never was developed properly with the Jets. He had no role models to help him. I hope he gets released and the Rams pick him up!!! New York is slowly killing him!

Baylor fans know that Bryce Petty is next in line after Ryan Fitzpatrick to being the starter for the Jets....

The JETS may become known for where Big 12 players go to end their football careers!

I am afraid the media will make this about Geno - and blame him!

Most Couchers were sad that Geno was drafted by the JETS for several reasons but none of us thought this would happen!!

Poll rankings and WVU never do well together - I searched the internet to see where we ranked last year in the Big 12 preseason basketball - no one predicted a Sweet 16 finish... All I came up with was a preseason 2015-16 poll and we are not even in the top 25 in Men's BB....

Wherever we finish in football will be better than the experts predict...that is one reason why being a WVU fan most seasons, most sports, is so great.

It might be that a man should never hit a woman, but the lines are becoming blurred. Last night, KJ's Summer League Buck's team played the Spurs. The Spur's are coached by a woman. Equality is equality. Society still expects a man to open a door for a woman yet she's allowed to slam it in his face without consequences. The aggressor - regardless of gender - has to shoulder some if not all of the blame.

What would have happened if the woman he hit was Caitlyn, aka Bruce, Jenner - see how complicated it is becoming!

Pre-season - as this was WVU's last game of last season ... The SEC network re-played the WVU vs. Texas A&M game. I was at the game and never could bring myself to watch the re-play. If we learn from mistakes - clock management; Howard gets slightly more accurate; Shell is 100% healthy; the defense continues to improve & opposing team's coaches quit smacking our players, we will do well.

We would be back with the band - pretty much the Big East before the exodus of VT, Miami, Boston College.... Something is going to happen by 2024, but all of a sudden I have been thinking lately about September 5, 2015!!!

Buchanan got trophy for "Young Player of the Tournament" and the announcer said that she plays her college ball for WEST Virginia.

Thanks Mounty - I was trying to see how many years WVU averaged in a conference or Independent since 1950... about 16 years. If the Big 12 does not fold, we are good until about 2030! I didn't realize we were in the Big East for 21 years!!! It was a great conference to be in during the Miami and VT days. Too bad the leadership was weak and stupid!

It is not a question of if WVU ends up in another conference... but a question of when. Does anyone out there know the various conferences WVU has been in and how long we stayed for the past 40 years?

Concept came up yesterday on Sirius Radio - If Big 12 doesn't get to 12 there is talk that the Big 12 will fold and this will nicely create 4 Super Conferences of 16. Four conferences would also allow playoffs for the National Championship to be clean and easy.

Announcers were saying this would help create more geographically convenient conferences. They mentioned Bob Huggins and how difficult WVU's travel is in the Big 12...

Announcers were hoping to see Texas and OU go to the Big 10 so they could reunite with Nebraska.... The mid-majors would all but be forgotten and have their own championship...

So if this scenario happens, where would WVU go? Big 10 or ACC?

7 drafted -

Compared to other schools this is a decent number. The recruits may feel that they will get more playing at time at WVU as compared to the 5 Star recruits at an Alabama - There are lots of reasons to commit to WVU & so far Dana for many reasons is holding his own...

West Virginia 2015 NFL Drafted -
