Huggs lost only Harris. Just got commitment from Tarik Phillip - a 6'3, Jr College transfer- eligible immediately- shooting guard from Brooklyn. Maybe not the shooter that Harris was but is suppose to be a strong defensive player.

The rest of the 2013-14 team is returning...so now I feel the sky is not falling.

At game...the good news is that Trickett still has good hair. Really couldn't tell much else.

Marshall's 6'1 Freshman guard, Kareen Canty, has been released from Marshall. He averages 16.3 points and 5.5 assists. Do we want him?

I think that is Harris' problem, he pouts...so sure he may change his mind, I doubt it, and the damage is done...And now Staten has a chance of playing next year with men and not boys at WVU.

Staten may not be so sad to see Harris go..... Staten had to carry this team on his back...Harris would not always show up to the big games... The other players were either sick, freshmen or new to the team. Harris was someone Staten could not count on and he should have been.

Staten may have a team that is emotionally and physically ready for every game next season & this would be worth staying for... I can't believe how quickly I put back on those rose colored glasses!

The joke is the term "student-athlete". How many athletes are in college to get a degree? Harris is a case in point. They start with one school and if things go bad they jump. The non-student athletes just change their majors. How many of these athletes earn a living at the next level? Unionization feeds the delusion of making it as a pro. The cost is going to come from the already hard to afford ticket.

Was Statten's motivation self or did Huggs help? I want to dump on Huggs and did... But just like Dana, both get one more year before I move for replacement. Huggs needs younger assistants that can relate to players....

OK, it is official, Huggs is a problem. Good coaches do not lose good players. And if Harris had "issues" a good coach would make all attempts to fix...

We were great rivals both because of proximity and the fact that on any given year, no matter what the sport, no matter what was a stake - one team could always beat the other... so I'd say we were even.

I am a Michael Vick fan (but not Marcus). I believe in 2nd chances & Vick became a better person after prison. Michael really developed great team support in Philadelphia. Geno lacks that strong leadership ability andf I believe Vick can help him be a better leader. Even if Michael earns starting QB job, he'll be hurt by game 3 and Geno will be back starting.

I "had" given him an "A" - past tense.
