I remember reading that Pat White was hitting the golf cart with his passes at his first practice with the Dolphins. Geno is at least having a better start to his NFL career than Pat did!

The NFL has had quarterback accused of rape, quarterbacks that were addicted to drugs, quarterbacks killing dogs, quarterbacks that couldn't throw, quarterbacks that got booed badly when drafted, quarterbacks that their Mama's didn't want...and now of all things, we have a quarterback that uses a cell phone!

We have all watched and read about Geno for four years. It reamins to seen what we observed at his WVU days will transpire in the NFL. But I have never seen the latest verison of the bad press: GENO - "Spoiled Brat".

As an Eagles fan, I watched McNabb for years (the guy they booed). Although McNabb had great skills, I did see arrogance. Geno does not have that personality - sometimes "humble" get confused with "arrogant".

As the negative media continues, I fail to find anything that is written or said about him newsworthy.

I am also curious as to who connected Geno to these agents? Luck with his Texas connections? Dana?

Actually maybe that is part of the reason he fired his agent... Geno wasn't protected enough or coached enough on how to handle the press... The last 4 years he spent playing the game, watching film, or reading a playbook. He just did not have the time to learn the skills required to keep the media at a distance... So when you allow those media vultures in, they eat you up! And they feasted on Geno! I sorta answered my own question...

ok, that is why now... but why leading up to the draft and the day of the draft? The media focused in on him more than any other player... that spotlight & its intensity is what confuses me...

What I can not fully understand is how did Geno attract so much media attention.... and continues to do so?????? He wasn't a Heisman candidate in the end, he did not bring attention to himself like T'eo or Honey Badger, he wasn't a 1st round pick, nor was he the 1st quarterback picked. Even Barkley seems more of a story after coming back for senior year, getting hurt & falling to the 4th round.

Thoughts of 2013 draft: I wanted all three of them to go to the Eagles...but now that Chip took Barkley & skipped Geno I am going to have a hard time with the Eagles...so I want Eagles to fall apart even more than they did last year and Chip goes back to college...

I am hoping the Jets don't throw Geno in from the start, and when they do start him, they modify playbook and make the process gradual. If this happens Geno may have a great career and since he was a 2nd round pick, may not have the pressure. If he has to start from day one, it may be painful for all!

Tavon actually has the pressure... 1st round and so much hype... I believe he deserves it, and hope he thrills the Rams fans as he did the Mountaineers... And Stedman was just the icing on that cake... I also feel sorry for Geno going to NYC and his side-kicks go off together to a less media frenzied town...

Time will tell how all this plays out. I will be watching!
