In an effort to solidify top 4, they smoke the first half and go in 38-6. Second string comes in to prevent injury but still finish the game 55-22. Dammit, but we won't be up for this game especially after the D watches a few series from the anemic offense.

Maybe you should ask half of the raiders or eagles defense about that.

If Grier doesn't jog onto the field after half time we are gonna get embarrassed.

If we're being honest, we all think they'll win the rest of them, otherwise why would we watch. At the kickoff of every game I would venture to say we all think "we've got this". Hence the occasional heartbreak.

Beginning to seriously wonder if Holgerson can figure out how to get us over that hump!!!! I like the guy but....I'll believe it when I see it!!

Yeah, me too. I think he's done a good job given that he got his promotion a year early and had to bring the program into a much tougher league a year later.
That said, I'm starting to wonder if 2016 will be considered a high water mark and if a Big 12 championship is a realistic goal. I'm not calling for his firing or anything but there are issues with the team that have bled over from one year to the next that make winning a conference championship really difficult. I'm not expecting him to turn the program into a top-tier one that just reloads every year but it would be nice to have the stars align and have a legitimate shot at the conference championship every couple of years.

The thing with that is, who do we go after? Realistically I think the best coach we could get would be Dan Mullen at Mississippi State, and who says he wants to leave? Unless we try a sexy P5 hire, which most likely all the good ones (see Frost at UCF) are going to get picked up with all these schools in limbo the next couple years.

I really don't know who we'd replace Holgy with, that being said, I like Holgy a lot and think he's grown immensely since he first arrived in Morgantown, being more adaptive to change and what's not. I just don't know what's with the mentality in dropping all the close ones and ranked games. It's getting a little frustrating.

Devil's advocate and how I feel....we are a school in WV. From all of our history, what is the "hump"that a new coach would take us over? I'm pretty content hoping for a good bowl, or dreaming of winning the big12 with the fantasy of pulling together a Pat White team that may win it all. Reality is the first two. This comes from a fan that remembers the season riding on whether or not we beat two PA schools in the 80s. Just wondering what folks thought the hump was and who could get us over it. I think we're over it.

Bottom line , the guys in black and white couldn't be beat. Two awful calls at crunch time. But still a chance at big 12 championship.

As to article #2, it doesn't take a rocket surgeon to know it's the cost that kills season tickets....we ARE from WV for goodness sake and the mines aren't quite there yet. Not to mention that Skyler was polarising and a stadium just off 79 would be more appealing.

I applaud the effort but damn that schedule is worse than any we've had before. Looks basketball centric. I think we're bigger picture than that.

I wasn't prepared to provide statistics so I had to go with the fact at the moment. BAD and UNC feel the need to compensate despite their success. I believe both schools suffer from micropenis

Because everyone needs another reason to hate ND....I was at the game in the ND section next to a friendly 60ish year old couple. At half time they had a battle of the bands. She must have thought ND lost at that too and commented "let's have a battle of SAT scores". To which I replied "your SAT's can't help you now". Only time I've heard that sort of disrespect was at a Marshall at UNC game. Similar comment. Douche bags!!! WVU was well represented here. We filled a local bar pre-game.

Is there any doubt that the TCU guy with the blonde hair will not be a plain in our ass? There's always that guy.

So I have trianing in El Paso through the end of March. If I were to buy Final Four tickets now with much optimism, would I have trouble selling them should we not make it? Tickets are a HUGE investment.

Sad for the seniors but excited that one of the worst, most overrated qb's in WVU history is gone. Stats in no way quantify his actual performance. How many carries by QB and how many by RB? I will not miss him. If only he were 25% as good as he thought he was.

Don't forget the parking fee. I think it at least effects a few decisions to go and shell out the 10 bucks or watch on TV. Not everyone is healthy enough to walk from PicWay's.
