But boy do we have an O-Line. About midway 2nd quarter you could see them coming together. I think Jones was overwhelmed at times but for a first time starter he played his ass off. Very proud of those men Sunday.

So while at fan day I got a pic of my kid with Kyle Bosch, my fav player currently and probably top 5 all time. I tweeted it to him and said thanks. Flipping through twitter today and see he used it as his twitter profile picture. My kid still hasn't come down to earth. https://mobile.twitter.com/Kyle_Bosch65

If the O line don't settle down its going to be a long night. And 24 needs to play better.

The o line needs about 2 games to gel. Starting the season with Bud isn't cool.

As a OG of this site I can't wait to wake the ole girl back up. They started the site around 05-04. I found it from a Google search for WVU fan message board in 05. I needed to vent. The game that I needed to vent about, VT. Everyone on the old board was all about that Slaton fella. Here's what she looked like when I came around. https://web.archive.org/web/2005103007 ... stignitethiscouch.com:80/

where I live the best internet you can get is 1 meg and it's expensive, $60 a month, I don't have internet and have direct tv. I wish I had good internet options so I could cut. When we had internet the kid would be on youtube and you'd be lucky to check facebook. I just switch back and forth between dish and DTV keeping my bill under 70 a month.

Here is a strange story about a JUCO player trimming his college choices down to a number schools – the only problem is they haven't heard of him. Turns out he was stealing other recruits photos from campus visits on Twitter and another recruits highlight tape.

No one even knows if he actually exists but a few blogs wrote stories on his Twitter announcement.

Had a guy on my last college team who tore up his knee both his JR and sr years of hs. He went to WKU as a regular student got strong then sent in his hs teams film. Told our coach his was so and so, a kid who was good but no grades and no intention of playing after hs. Coach liked what he saw and signed dude. Was set to start our JR year and blew that knee out again and hung it up. Of course that was back in the day of grainy VHS and at that level college coaches aren't on the horn with the hs coach often.

I do most of my WVU posting chatting on twitter these days and with now a 12 year old, who wasn't a year old when I joined, I don't have a lot of time. But would like to save the old girl. I just contacted Matt aka Jude on twitter asking for contact info on "Stanley". And asked if he and Stanley are one in the same. Very similar political beliefs.

Now that my kid is in Jr High and won't play games on Saturdays anymore I hope to make it up and hang with some old friends, Tito, Crazy and anyone else. I'm just not the drunken crazy man anymore. Probably will have the kid in tow.

Kenny Edenfield of Troy - Spread

Matt Limegrover of Northern Illinois - Pro style power running game and he's an O-line coach

Philip Montgomery of Baylor - Spread that is run heavy, they have a hell of QB there now, he is a co-oc and coaches the QB's and RB's. He was with Briles at Houston; This would be my first interview.

Tony Franklin of La. Tech - Spread, you may remember him as the guy Tubs was forced to hire at Auburn. Franklin is proven but was not given a fair shake at Auburn. He would be my second interview.

Charlie Taaffe no details needed here.

Blake Anderson of Southern Miss. - Spread

Lincoln Riley of ECU - Spread, this is a Mike Leech guy. Young but very good, on second thought this guy needs to be the first phone call.

Or you could have read the thread that already existed.

I normally don't make good sports predictions but I'll toot my own horn on my Riley pick.

I love this quote from the article:

Quote:
Texas introduced alcohol sales during the 2015 season, racking up $1.8 million in revenue in year one, according to the Houston Chronicle. That number jumped up 20 percent to $3.1 million in 2016, with the season-opener against Notre Dame accounting for $701,234 in sales alone, according to the Austin-American Statesman.

That quote helps perpetuate the (well-earned) stereotype that the Irish Catholics can put away a lot of alcohol. While in college, I attended a Rugby party after a Notre Dame match with a school in North Carolina, and of all the Rugby parties that I attended in college (a lot), more beer was consumed at that party than any other Rugby party that I ever witnessed . . . by DOUBLE! We had to go back to the our supplier twice for more kegs. We joked that each of the Notre Dame guys must have had a hollow leg, because we had never seen a group of guys drink as much as those guys drank. They explained that the Notre Dame girls were not particularly sexually active, so their only option for entertainment in South Bend was to drink vast quantities of alcohol.

Amazing. I didn't know Rugby drinking was a universal thing. I thought it was just the EKU boys. EKU rugby was trying to spread the sport into the small liberal art school in eastern Ky back in the mid 90s to give them opponents to scrimmage and such. So they went around and met with guys that had played football at these schools, were out of eligibility but still around campus. Me and my bunch at Union College was one of them. They came down did some clinics and after the last one threw a big bash at our football house. My goodness those boys pushed my tolerance to its limit. Good time. We never got the hang of it and that was the last time I attempted rugby. But was a hell of a good time.

Any time the power brokers feel the not so powerful getting an edge they have to legislate rules to snuff out that advantage. Satellite camps, no huddle offense and now the grad transfer to name a few. If a guy graduates he should have the right to do what he wants. These guys don't have a lot of rights so let them keep this one. I'm not a proponent of paying them but I think they do deserve more day so in that small window of their life.
