Can anyone give any info on any grad transfers we are looking at for D line or CB?

I honestly don't know specifics, but Chris Anderson keeps hinting that the coaching staff is about to lock up a VERY solid D Line grad transfer. No word on who this is that I'm aware of. As for CB I haven't read much in that regard. I'm assuming the staff will move a safety or two into the CB role. Complete speculation on my end on that though. I have been reading that Darius Stills has really been turning heads in camp. Bulked up & showing great gap assignment. Some say McDougal was upset that coaches would be rotating him due to Stills stepping up. McDougal transferred to 3 different high schools & committed to Washington State before landing at WVU. Commitment issues possibly??

Chris Anderson on Eersports reporting that McDougle will be leaving the program very soon.. Siting McDougle being homesick as the main reason. At this point it's being very hush hush as the coaching staff attempts to change his mind & keep him in place.

Really can't afford to lose another DL let alone a freshmen All-American DL. Hopefully the coaching staff can talk him through it & get his head right for the upcoming season.

Anytime WVU plays a team with a "pulse" (especially on the road) they will lose. They look good against the "who is this school?" teams. Kentucky and Kansas are automatic loses, Baylor, Pitt, Virginia most likely too. 18 - 12 is about right for this bunch.

I see you're back to referring to those "teams with a pulse". You're out-look on the season was grim & the TEAM proved you wrong. Now you bring this negativity to light during the post season during the 3rd round!? Come on! Enjoy the ride & be a die hard like 98% rest of us on here. I'm just messing around though. All jokes aside let's get this W & take another step towards that national title we ALL long for! LETS GO!!!!!!!!

No idea. Even more questioning is how we drop 4 spots after beating Baylor then losing by a single point on the road to #8 in the nation, but Duke cracks the top 5 again? The polls never make sense & are essientially used to keep the quote unquote "blue bloods" relevant week in & out. Anyone can win in March & WVU has can easily be that team this season. Anyways, jayhawks are about to play one p!ssed off squad tonight & the maniacs will be full throttle! Should be a great night for the Mountaineers! LETS GO!

NCAA "sides" with WVU.

Harris only given a verbal reprimand.

Texas Tech given a $25k fine & verbal reprimand.

Not sure how Harris doesn't get at least one game.

Anyways, that's the low down.

Also WVU drops to #6 & KU comes in at #10.

So 3 top 10 matchups in 2 weeks.

LETS GO!!!!!

I think it'll be interesting to see the combination Huggs throws at Young. I'd assume Dax & Carter both harass the Freshmen all game. The buddy hield treatment will be in full effect Saturday night. Let's get this W & keep grinding!

13 straight wins & counting!

Team continues to grind (even with Carter struggling w/ his injured wrist).

Dax playing like all of Mountaineer Nation knew he could!

Esa coming back in 2 games.

Knapper is ahead of schedule & started practicing.

Teddy "Buckets" Allen growing into a go to scorer.

Beetle continues to hit 3's.

Half court offense doesn't look nearly as stagnate has it has the last 5 years.

Huggy continues to get everything out of his team.

Coliseum will be ROCKING on Saturday! Lets get it!

Those teams with a "pulse" just keep losing to us.. 8 straight wins, Advocare champs & just beat an undefeated / top 15 UVA team. It's not to late for anyone & everyone to actually buy in on this team. Young squad with senior leaders. Get behind this team & enjoy sPitt hate weekend! LETS GO!!!!!!!!!!!!

Uhh... sPitt was blown out by Penn State by 30+ points & also lost to Navy. Kentucky is barely getting by these "who is this school?" teams & lost a close one to Kansas. Huggy always gets the best out of each player / team he coaches. Only 4 games have been played so I think everyone need to pump the brakes a little bit. These games are on the schedule for a reason. It allows WVU for this example to gel as a team & gives the coaches an idea of what rotations will work. Anyways, this team can easily get to 20-22 wins. Senior leadership from dax & carter will carry us further than a lot seem to be giving us credit for. Not saying we wont take a couple on the chin throughout the season, but its a marathon not a sprint.

Culver signed his LOI today & paper work was sent to his mother to sign. So as long as he keeps his grades up he's still committed & coming to WVU.

Contrary to what most are saying on this thread I do not believe for a moment KSU is on the same level as WVU talent wise. KSU plays sound fundamental football which is a credit to Snyder football. No question WVU will get KSU's best shot & better be ready for ALL 4 quarters of football. I just don't see the game playing out in KSUs favor. Our fan base should view the ISU game as a statement. No question the team's without flaws, but they don't give up. Each week it seems the "little" things are being corrected or at least stressed in preparation. A few gaps & injuries in the roster, but the coaches are doing an amazing job week in & out with what they have to work with. I truly believe the golden age of WVU football is upon us. Sustained coaching staff, drastically improved recruiting & BIG 12 money hard at work with upgrades. With all his optimism I have don't you think for a second I can make it through an entire football game w/o a beer in each hand!

WVU had a closed scrimmage w/ Purdue over the weekend resulting in a double digit loss for WVU.

Carter led the way w/ 37 points.

I read guard play was somewhat shaky & the forwards were out of position for much of the scrimmage. Also I don't believe the press was utilized at all during the scrimmage.

Season tips this Friday night at 6pm against Texas A&M.

CBS got the aging progression correct. I'm 29 & feel like a 90 year old smoker by the end of a game. By the way (I don't smoke).

A -6 point line seems fitting but I'm assuming it will swell to around -7.5 by Saturday afternoon. I'll be in the gold lot w/ family & friends by 7:30am (maybe earlier if my wife allows it). Stop by & grab a few adult beverages or some food.

WVU > Okie State
WVU > ISU
WVU > KSU
WVU > Texas
OU game is a complete toss up

OU looks amazing at times & completely lost at other times. This season is EXACTLY what WVU needs due to the turnover on our defensive side of the ball. CHAOS. The Big 12 is just beating each other down week in & out. If you were to eliminate the refs clear bias against WVU, Baylor doesn't score more than 20 points on us (we would also only have one loss instead of 2; see TCU game). At the same time Jake needs to learn airing out the ball when your already up 18 points going into the 4th quarter is counter productive. Run the ball grind the clock out & get the zebras to keep the flag in their pocket (or at least call ONE hold on Baylor). Win's a win & we keep on winning. Get behind the team, show up before noon, pack that stadium & if you have a family member currently enrolled at WVU make sure their in that student section 30mins before kickoff & long enough after the game to sing country roads!

Opening as 9.5 point favorites, night game & Baylor plays very solid on special teams..

COULD result in problems or work against WVU most would think..

NAH! WVU by a landslide! No trap game so get that outta here too! We show up take care of business & prepare for a HUGE game w/ Okie State.

I see the TT game as a turning point. The team showed what they're made of when pushed into a corner. Gibby showed even with a VERY young Defense he's still a master at second half adjustments. This team is one to be proud of & they have left it all on the field!
