This recruiting class just keeps getting better. I think my numbing childhood of Gale Catlett days is finally starting to wear off. Huggs has established a solid basketball program at WVU.

Sags, I want to say something before this whole thing gets out of control. In 1967, in the hot desert sun, a woman gave birth to a boy in the back of old pick up. She left the boy at a local church. The father at the church didn’t like children, but he knew that being a disciple of the bible he couldn’t possibly not take the small kid. Instead he ended up taking out his frustration on the boy. At the age of three, the boy was forced to use the toilet. Let me tell you the little boy fell into his own pile of poop more than once.

By the age of 5, the boy the boy was reading the bible and chopping wood for the fire. Despite the father’s harsh character, the boy loved him and thought of him as his true father. By the age of seven the boy ran away. He survived four days in the desert by eating cactus and scorpions. He was finally found by a drug cartel boss, who took the boy in. Mr. Sanchez was his name, and he was immediately impressed by the boys intelligence and grown up attitude. Mr. Sanchez provided the boy with an education at a private prep school and a nice house. By the time he was 12 he graduated high school. He was the school’s star running back. The boy was lost, although he liked Mr. Sanchez, he never thought of him as his father. The boy went to India, were he became a spiritual leader of a large tribe of farmers. With his power he turned the several plots that each tribe member had into a large corporate farm and became a millionaire. His assets grew as he bought into other successful start ups. He often got ahead in business with his great leadership abilities, but once in a while he used violence. This was India after all.

By the time he was 22, the boy had all the money he would ever need. So he bought a yacht and traveled the world for 10 years. For 10 years he visited every major port, slept with girls from every country imaginable and tried every drug ever made (by nature and by man). When he was 33, he was walking on a beach in French Guiana when he met a girl of Irish - Native American decent. She bared his seed. It was boy, perfect health. He moved them to Argentina, then London, and eventually Vermont. The man was 45 now, he has seen everything, accomplished everything, and tried everything. He skied down the Swiss Alps, been at the North Pole, swam with hammerheads, everything! Yet he has never done one simple thing that we all take for granted every day, he met his father. He never played catch with his father; he never talked about women with his father. He never would. He died at the age of 63 when his parachute didn’t open when he was base jumping from Dagger Mountain in Washington, USA. Over three thousand people attended his funeral.

Now Sags, I know what you are thinking. How does this story relate to me? Well I want you to go all the way back to the beginning of the story and remember the woman who gave birth to this incredible boy. You are like this woman. You are like this woman because you are being selfish if you leave WVU.

It's Morrisey vs. Manchin.

I don't really know what to say about Teddy because I don't know what's going on behind the scenes.
On the court this year he was offensively one of the best for us. Just about the only one who would penetrate, draw contact, and finish. Defensively he was probably one of the worse. He would always miss assignments and was just too slow. These kind of cancel each other out.
If it was the butting of heads with the coaching staff then everyone is better off separating ways and finding what works for them. Best of luck to him.

I would consider Manchin more of a Republican than a Democrat. So you could add that to you H E double toothpicks list.

I went and watched the Mounties take on the Terps last night. This WVU team has talent. I'm hoping they can put it together and make a run up to and through the Big12 tourney.

If you're a 1st roun pick in the NBA draft you should declare. See ya later college.
If you're a 2nd round pick you should stay in college and improve your game.
This seems transparent.

I think Nova will light us up if we go with the 1-3-1 defense. Extended man to man defense to force them to penetrate. This is what WVU played most of the game against Marshall and Murray State, who also shoot very well from the floor. My opinion on winning this one is limiting their 3 point attempts.

Those tweets that Hunter's dad wrote look like they were written by a 10 year old who didn't get to go outside for recess because he didn't do his homework. The coaching staff will probably laugh it off and not give it a second thought. Could Hunter be the one leaving the program?
My bracket is sitting at 13-3 so far. I didn't have any of my losses winning the next round.

The East bracket appears to be the most favorable with the eye ball test. I know nothing about Murray State. If they have good shooting guards we're in trouble. Off to google Murray State.
Looking at conference tournament champions:
ACC - Virginia we beat
SEC - Kentucky we led by 16(?) in the 2nd half
Big 12 - Kansas we gave us 3 2nd half, sizable,leads

The strikes primary purpose is/was to fix PEIA with the secondary pay raise. The problem is they can’t fix PEIA overnight. However, the pay raise is something they can move on immediately. Therefore, giving them the 5% pay raise was a “gentleman’s handshake” that the teachers would go back to work and the state would fix PEIA.
The changes the state wanted to make to PEIA was implementing a fit bit for those who participated, base costs on total “household” income, and raise the price. This is what up roared the teachers. Put that on top of a raise they haven’t seen in years.
Stay tuned. The PEIA task force has 18 months to fix/fund PEIA. If nothing changes we will be seeing deja-vu all over again.

I can't believe this is still going on. Fast forward to when this thing comes to closure and here is what you have:
This could've came to an end on day 4 of the strike when the Governor and House both agreed to the 5% pay raise. The senate republicans keep shutting it down and teachers continue to strike. The senate will finally agree to the terms at the costs of adding several days to the school year.
We need good sense and sound judgement in practical matters when it comes to children's education. Not political nonsense.
If anything, this has brought a lot of awareness on WV politics. I have a feeling that WV will have record turnout voting for the next term.

Higgins was receiving death threats a few years ago from Kentucky fans. I don't think he'll sign up for Kentucky games.

I'm happy to see Carter and Miles leave the home court with a Win. I've even happier to see them stay with the program to get this team turned around when things were looking bad. They arrived at the program after that grim 2013-2014 season. Huggins lost that team, but Carter and Miles go to show you that Huggins loves his players. They'll be missed.

I hope the teachers get what they want and we can move on. They didn't go into the profession to get rich, but when you don't get a raise for years and they increase your insurance premiums you can't keep up with inflation. It's no wonder there are over 700 job openings in WV for public school teachers. There is no incentive for teachers to stay in the state or move to the state to teach.
If we keep going down this rabbit hole we are going to end up with unqualified educators teaching our children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, etc. Nothing good will come from this.
They have my support because without their positive influence they provided me when I was in school I wouldn't be where I am today.

Same here too. NASCAR has lost "it". They are trying hard to regain interest, but it's just not there. I would much rather go to the dirt track and watch racing.

Blowing large 2nd half leads against TT, Kansas, and Kentucky has me scratching my head. We know they can play lights out; 1st half ball.
If they can adjust/learn how to play a complete game I see them going 8-2 to finish the season (Big 12 champs). If not, 5-5 looks promising.
This team is bi-polar - 1st half dance party, 2nd half watching paint dry.
