Still the 76er leading scorer.

Despite the fact he played for the Syracuse Nationals of the NBA his first 5 years out of college.

The Syracuse Nationals became the 76’ers in ‘64. They are the same franchise.

This is incorrect. West Virginia State was an all black plubic university and had a basketball team early on.
Earl Lloyd, from WVSU, was one of the first African Americans drafted into the NBA and was the first to actually play in 1950.
Hal Greer was the first African American to play for Marshall.
The state of WV has a surprisingly rich basketball history.

I think it’s Michigan v Kansas.
I just think Kansas’s talent + size beats Nova.
Between the two, I give Michigan a slight edge. Just not sure how Kansas will deal with Belein’s offense. But maybe that’s wishful thinking. But if they are hitting from outside...

Now I’m not so sure. The Tournament Challenge bracket says 11pm tomorrow but ESPN app says Sunday TBD, which makes more sense.

I’m ok with the quarter format if they take away some time outs. I think it will slow the game even more.

It reminds me a lot of Allen Iverson. A great individual player that makes teams worse.

I wouldn’t be surprised if we won or if we lost by double digits in the first game.

Here we go. Call the 2nd half completely different than the first.

It’s primetime...but late. The game matters but the media doesn’t care because it’s not Kansas, Kentucky, Duke, etc...
We win a squeaker.

Stop blaming the refs. This is who we are. Cannot finish. Choke Virginia.

Choke Virginia shows up again. We lead by 15 at the half and lose by 8.

I’m very concerned with this groups propensity to choke. Especially against big teams. Hopefully they learn how to close games.

My prediction:

* Jamie Dixon will employ the clutch-grab-push-hold defense he used at Pitt and get away with it at home.

* We will get called for breathing too hard on TCU players and for being within 3 miles of any cylinder located in the city of Waco, Texas.

* Carter and Konate will spend first half minutes on the bench with 2 fouls each.

* Our players will get headaches from the glare off TCU's white floor.

If we can overcome all of that, we can win.

Extra aggravating since TCU is in Ft Worth and not Waco!
