I do believe the ESPN game predictor has picked the correct outcome of each of our games this season. They are batting.1000 right now with us.

Dandy Don Nehlen said Texas has some offense and a big ol running back, but the defense has some holes in it. They're giving up over 30 points a game. Odds are in our favor

For entertainment, here's the shaggytexas game thread from our last visit to Austin in 2014...The Good, the bad and the ugly:

We look more disciplined than Texas. Kansas State beat Texas by being more fundamentally sound and perfect play execution. I fear Shelton Gibson's trash talking will get him flagged by the Fine Constables of Austin all day....And we are going to need to score more than FGs in the red zone.

Our defense is playing much better than the Longhorns. But our last visit to Austin saw a hostile crowd and over 250 yds rushing produced by Texas in 2014.

Its going to be like Rocky going into Mother Russia to defeat Ivan Drago. We need to find a way to block out the Texas Longhorn pageantry surrounding Darrell K. Royal Stadium. This will be the largest crowd WVU will have played in front of this year (100,000).

The Sooners will be without RBs Joe Mixon and Samaje Perrine tonight vs. ISU. Could be an upset.

OSU travels to KSU. Could be an upset.

Baylor plays TCU, could be an upset.

I think Jo Defo's knowledge of the program may keep our game close. But from a national standpoint we need a blowout. Come Sunday we could be in sole possession of first place in the Big 12.

They left no margin of error for us. We can win out. But even if we do, we're behind the 8-ball. Seems like the TV analysts are dictating how the playoff committee votes.

On November 3, 2001 WVU beat Rutgers 80-7. Avon Cobourne had 19 rushes for 149 yards and Quincy Wilson averaged 21.5 yards a carry, going for 131 yards on 6 carries.

We need to beat Kansas 80-7.

Bump

We were coming off 4 straight loses this time last year. Now we're 6-1 and a Top 15 program. Let us pray to Sweet Baby Jesus that the College Football Playoff committee favors our accomplishments so far and places us in the Top 15.

Kansas has not beaten OU since 1997, and the Sooners just beat the brakes off of them(56-3) They will be furious coming into Morgantown this week seeking solace and redemption.

We will need to beat the Jayhawks 57-3....Garner some conference leverage.

It's November, and we're very relevant in the college football world.

Gotta root for total pandemonium today. We need Utah, FSU & Texas to win.

If we had a decent tight end he would be wide open all game. Ask the Sooners...

Onside kick to open the 2nd half. Dana needs to get his head out of his ass.

The offense is not doing its job. Shorts made some plays. Gibson made a play. Our O-line received a critical flag.

Wickline's room is 'bugged' in the booth. And the refs' kids received an endowment from the T. Boone-Pickens Foundation. All the calls have favored the Pokes.

Mason Rudolph played his high school ball in the Rock Hill, South Carolina area. The same area that produced that Clowney guy from Clemson.
