It'd be nice if we could run the table, win a bowl game, and finish 10-3 (6-3).....

In other news, Indiana leads #1 O$U 10-6 in the 3rd. A loss by them would help ease our loss today.

I'll give Howard one "oops" game and he just used it. He's not been accurate against Big 12 opponents, both last year and this year. He either overthrows or underthrows and is rarely accurate.

If we're going to be heavier on the run this year then I say bring in Crest and integrate some run plays for him like we did with Howard today. Once Crest gets more comfortable passing then we can start to release the reigns.

Time for a prediction I suppose. Hopefully we take Georgia Southern seriously, they are better than the name may indicate. Went 9-3 (8-0) in the Sun Belt last year and only lost to NC State & Georgia Tech on the road by a combined 5 points. If we can stop the triple option then we'll be fine, they don't air it out much.

I'm thinking 38-13

.......but we still have 25 wins and made it to the Sweet 16. Overall a good season aside from this blunder, i'm looking forward to next year. I think we can make it this far and more.

Well down goes Kansas. The road ahead is looking clearer for us. Maryland tonight, Kentucky Thursday, and then either Notre Dame or Wichita State on Saturday.

Lol I was just waiting on it to break off. If this was 15 years ago there'd be no rim and broken glass all over the floor.

I agree 100%. We need to split D1 in half because having 350+ teams in one league is unnecessary. I don't think people realize just how watered down D1 really is. Most of the teams will never sniff the NCAA tourney, that alone a national title.

We had an 18 point lead in Lawrence last night.....and everyone who played comes back next year. This is why I posted that article about why we should get used to 20+ win seasons. We're set for a while. Kansas could return everyone, but we have to be their top challenger based on what i've been seeing lately.

I'd like to see us beat OSU to get some momentum because we're in the 4/5 game in the Big 12 tourney (likely vs Baylor), which sets up a rematch with Kansas in the semifinals. If we get healthy we can play spoiler like we did in 2005.

I found the real dress on Amazon.com (UK version) and it is in fact blue and black. The problem with the pic above is that the lighting faded it. I can't explain the science but people with "worse" eyes fail to compensate for the lighting and their eyes "fail" which leads the dress to appear white/gold. People with "better" eyes compensate for the lighting and see the true colors, blue/black.

As for me, the photo looks like a faded black with blueish purple.

We are another ISU loss away from controlling our own destiny, which is likely to happen. They have to go to KSU (who just beat KU) and TCU (won 3 of their last 4) and get #16 OU at home (won 7 of their last 8).

We have to beat Texas just as bad as they have to beat us. I also agree with Sane. Texas is not Kentucky. They have been beat 10 times and will likely lose more. They are not 27 points better than we are and in my opinion are not as good of a team as we are.

Obviously the problem is that they are simply a bad match up for us and have our number, but it's time to stop the BS and protect our house tonight. Let's get it done.

Instead of complaining about our shooting woes or something else negative, I figured i'd start a positive thread discussing how far we've come since joining the Big 12 in basketball.

Comparing when we entered the Big 12 in 2012 to today is like comparing night and day. To put it simply: We have weathered the storm. I think we finally have a group of players where they all buy into Huggs system and actually give a damn about how well the TEAM does (no "superstars"). Looking back, it's easy to see how the 2012-13 team sputtered to just 13 wins in our inaugural season.....they didn't care and they didn't want to be here. For example, the 2012-13 roster (excluding current players Staten, Browne, Noreen, and Romeo):

Eron Harris (9.8 PPG): Transferred to MSU
Deniz Kilicli (8.9 PPG): Graduated
Aaric Murray (8.8 PPG): Transferred to Texas Southern
Terry Henderson (8.0 PPG): Transferred to NC ST
Jabarie Hinds (7.4 PPG): Transferred to UMass
Matt Humphrey (4.7 PPG): Graduated
Dominique Rutledge (2.8 PPG): Graduated
Keaton Miles (2.6 PPG): Transferred to Arkansas
Volodymyr Gerun (1.3 PPG): Transferred to Portland
Aaron Brown (1.2 PPG): Transferred to St. Joe's
Aric Dickerson (0.0 PPG): Transferred to Delaware St.

We had 15 players in 2012-13: 4 are still here (only 2 play), 3 graduated, and a whopping 8 transferred. It's hard to build depth or count on returning experienced players when that happens. And yet here we sit, just two years removed from a mass exodus, with 21 wins and a chance to win the Big 12 title and more.

Looking at it from that perspective i'd say Huggins has done a great job, even though our expectations of a "consistent 20+ win NCAA tournament team" have not been met for a while. But worry no more, our expectations have been met in 2015 and should continue to be for the foreseeable future. As I stated, we have players here who care now. Sure they have been blown out of some games, but I think they can handle that failure and turn it into something good unlike the 2012-13 team who let failure consume them.

We lose good players in Staten and Browne to graduation from our current team. That kind of loss is understandable. However, if we can avoid the unnecessary "exodus" that has plagued us in the past, the foundation for a successful future is set. All of the bigs are back along with guards like Paige, Carter, and Miles Jr. We have two 4 star recruits coming in for 2016 and maybe more.

If we can take what we have and build on it, 20+ win seasons like this one will be the norm. And who knows, maybe we can even knock off the (suddenly vulnerable) perennial power Kansas from their perch on top the Big 12 or advance past the Final Four for the first time since 1959.

Fingers crossed.

Well it's about time. I don't even watch boxing that much but i'm excited for this one. May 2 is gonna be a good day.....going to the Kentucky Derby in the morning then watching this (for free, preferably) in the afternoon. I'd like to see Pacquiao win but he's a considerable underdog vs Mayweather.
