Was looking at the latest Bracketology and realized that really only a handful of coaches have won national titles:
Coach K- 5 tiles- 71
Coach Roy Williams- 3 titles, 67
Coach Jim Boeheim - 1 title, 73
Coach Tom Izzo 1 title, 63
Coach J Calipari 1 title, 59
Coach Jay Wright 1 title 57
Coach Bill Self 1 title 56

Note (Ollie and Tubbs won't make tourney)

I'm sitting here thinking, "we have only played one game in which I could genuinely say the other team was just better and that was in Germany." Kansas Goes to OU and we go to TCU minus Fisher then have Kentucky at home.

I think the winner of the league will have 3 or 4 losses, we still have a chance if we quit blowing these leads to win the conference.

Have to admit that ESPN's predictor is prob. best, showings it's even better than Vegas, of course the study could be biased since they did it themselves but it does to me seem legit.
http://www.espn.com/mens-college-bask ... er-rankings-according-bpi

It has been accurate for us 17/19 times. The one game where it was off was the Texas AM, as I recall it had us winning I think at over 75%, the Kansas game was I think close to 60% so that was still somewhat accurate. The TTU game only gave us a 25% chance so very accurate there. This TCU game which I had marked as lost during beg of season has slowly moved closer to 50/50, now with WVU with a 43% chance of winning, TCU losing Fisher is tough. So a very decent chance to steal a road game tmrw.

Self said B12 Champ could have 5 conference losses this year (before they played us).

I doubt it, He won last year at 16-2, I couldn't see Kansas losing more than 4. They are favored in all the games left, except at TTU. I say they finish at 15-3.

They lose to us (at Kansas), TTU, and one off-game/opp's dream game -- 14-4.

Kansas will have 6 losses this year. Including the next 2 league games they play.

What follows may be an unpopular opinion about WVU Men's basketball:

Esa Ahmad needs to be benched, pretty permanently. He has had major minutes in the last four games: average 26.25 minutes per game. But he is shooting 14/31 collectively with a negative progression on that stat. He is averaging 3.25 rebounds (not horrible) and .75 assists per game.

During that stretch we've also lost 3 of 4 games, where before we were 14-1. I'm not saying our current slump is Ahmad's fault entirely. But the balance, tempo, and drive of this time has slumped since Esa has been getting the serious minutes over Teddy Buckets.

And as always, win lose or draw LETS GO MOUNTAINEERS

Agreed about Esa. Our teams psyche has changed dramatically ever since he's been back

Kansas couldn't make free throws to win game. The ended up 9 for 15 and most of the made throws came in the first half.

If our boys can bring back the mental toughness we showed against Missouri and Oklahoma we will be fine. Perhaps we are simply going through growing pains with Esa coming back. But there is a severe lack in tenacity with him on the court.

Seems like we are struggling on Big Monday games due to the lack of time to rest from our Saturday game. I think we will be ok. I expect to pound Kentucky this Saturday on fully rested legs.

Anybody want to take the time to see over the past 4 years what our record is on Monday, if we have had a game on Saturday? I would almost guarantee it is a losing record.

It was just one player on Kansas (Udoka) he was 1-7 on freethrows, and was purposedly fouled by OU since they knew he was a career 40% Freethrow shooter.

That was 6 for 15 not 9 for 15 and Udoka accounted for 7 of the 9 misses. This won't be the last game that Udoka gets fouled late in the game. Young didn't end up shooting very much and Oklahoma won the game, Imagine that.
