From Blue-Gold News:

Big 12 men’s basketball recorded the highest viewership of any conference on ESPN for the 2017-18 season.

The conference averaged 1.2 million viewers for an increase of six percent from the previous season. Viewership across all ESPN networks combined increased 10 percent with an average of 581,000.

The 2018 Phillips 66 Big 12 Men’s Basketball Championship game between West Virginia and Kansas was the most-viewed contest in the championship in 16 seasons and the second-most watched on record with 2.9 million viewers. In addition it was the third-most watched game of Championship Week across all networks.

ESPN’s College GameDay originated from Big 12 schools for half of its eight shows. The previous conference high in one season was two appearances.

I, for one, am a fan of Teddy. I think he will be missed.

I saw a marked increase in his effort on defense as the year went on. And remember, he was a TRUE freshman. He is still growing and maturing. He was just a step slow on defense, but with maturity and teaching, that could have been addressed.

If he goes to a mid-major he will LIGHT IT UP. And, he will lead that team to the NCAAs.

But hey ... Ahmad is coming back ...

Had a great opportunity to attend the Pro Football Hall of Fame Luncheon Club on Monday where Bob Huggins was the speaker. As usual he was awesome. Here is the Canton paper link to the coverage.

Just so you know he wasn't going after Marshall for no reason. There was a gentleman there that attended Marshall and was from the same town as Huggs. He just rubbed it in a bit at the end.

Good read helgramite. So how does Huggins get involved with a football function so much?

That area close to Canton, OH. is where Huggs grew up and his dad became a legendary coach. The old timers especially remember him and his father This club affiliated with the Hall of Fame invites him every year and every year Huggins comes.

His first head coaching job at Walsh is in North Canton and Akron is 15 miles north.

Sounds about right. I just want him, for his sake and the program's sake, to get drafted. We all know no one will work harder.

Thanks for posting, he looked great. Shows what one extra year under Huggins can do, I think he's a lock for 30-40th pick. Went from not even in top 100 NBA prospects before season to possible late 1st round. Will always wonder how much better Ebanks, or Devin Williams would of been.

Sags will be a different story since NBA is going to want him as a 4/5 guy not just 5. Not sure if I can see him playing up top like Ahmad, and West. Either way, he will be better off coming back to college to experiment rather than sitting on bench.

He won the Republican primary for Senate in New Jersey:

In the contest for the Senate in New Jersey, the Democratic incumbent, Robert Menendez, won his primary and will face Bob Hugin, a pharmaceutical executive who easily won the Republican nomination.
