Yea my hopes are through the roof. but I`m also trying to keep them in check, which is hard to do considering all the hype and buzz about this years team.

Note to self: Must...step...away...from...the...kool-aid.
But wow it's hard to keep from buying in to the irrational exuberance about this season. I think realistically the changes in league, defensive staff, and defensive scheme is going to be too much to overcome to win a title this year. It's possible and no one will be happier to see it happen, but I think the expectations are bit too high. This team will definitely make some noise and it's gonna be a blast to watch no matter what.

I concur with the last 3 posts.
After the OB...it's been so hard to keep expectations realistic. Realistically....2nd year HC, 1st year in a REAL conference, completely new defensive staff, heavy losses on defense.....we'd normally consider an 8-4 campaign a success.

eers88... I couldn't agree more. as far as this season goes... it all comes down to our defense because our conference schedule is more favorable than it will be the following season.
