Here's TJ Kpan's Freshman scout tape while at Seton Hill University:

Here's his senior year tape:

Hudl Profile:

Dude is 5'9' and 195lbs. Not sure if he makes any impact at WVU. This guy was pretty good in H.S. and redshirted at Seton Hill last year. The staff must have saw something, because he wasn't a high profile recruit. Not sure about this one.

He’s a walk on. If he doesn’t pan out, we do not lose out on anything. Why not?

Ok I know a true Mountaineer never ever is in PITTS camp...but they are beating Miami and Miami is right up there with teams to hate.... I won't go as far as to say Go PITT... but maybe Miami can share the same misery for ever that PITT did to us...

Nebraska is 4-7 playing host to 6-5 Iowa. This is their 361st consecutive sellout game.

We can't fill the stadium when we are ranked playing ranked Oklahoma State.

Seeing on the twittosphere that Grier is going pro and expects to be a late First to second round pick. Let the “who will be starting next year” frenzy begin!!!!

EDIT: I hope it’s not Chuggs!

Greir is 24 and is definitely going pro. We need to start grooming a new QB ASAP.

He's 22, born April 3, 1995, graduated HS at age 18 in 2013. I will assume the rest of your post is as accurate as the first part of your post.

This is worth a read. from the Smoking Musket.

Takeaways:

our first-ever season facing six ranked opponents. It could have been much, much worse.

Still the possibility of an eight win season, and 18 wins in two years is nothing to sneeze at.

And Tony Gibson is never going to go to a four man front.

We had 2 wins over ranked teams, right? Texas tech and Iowa State, right? Those teams aren't ranked anymore. Texas tech is .500 and Iowa State is 7-5. We haven't beaten a ranked team that was ranked at the end of the year since Baylor.

It is actually pretty hard to have a lot of wins against teams that finish within the top 25. By definition, beating that team makes it MUCH less likely they will be ranked. For example, if we beat Virginia Tech they probably wouldn't be ranked right now.

If Iowa State or Kansas State win a bowl game they still could be ranked at the end of the year.

People bring up our playing of ranked teams. I think there is also the point of WHERE in the rankings they are.

You mention that in 2007 we played 5 and we went 4-1. You realize that Oklahoma was the only top 10 team we played.

#18 was the HIGHEST after that.

This year MOST of our games were played against top #15 teams not bottom 5 teams.

We are playing with the "Big Boys" and holding our own against everyone but Oklahoma. I truly believe that we will eventually turn THAT around.

The sky isn't falling.

By the way. I am hearing that Oklahoma going to the College Football Championship playoff will be worth and extra $3 million this year for WVU. They don't get more money for the final game.

This doesn't count the fact that it will free up a spot in the cotton bowl which will generate more money for the athletic department.

I would really love to see us upgrade the soccer stadium. The women's soccer program deserves it.....

....oh...and we should build an opulent shrine to the rifle program in the design of the Taj Mahal for our rifle team with the money.

I like playng rivalry games but I'm almost thinking we might be better off following Wisky or Washington, or Baylor during Art Briles era in scheduling three cupcake games till we are good enough to compete for Big 12 title. It seems we are pretty far off still to competitive games against OU.

I was born and raised in the early 80's. This was the start of the Nehlen Era. I was in college during the Rodriguez Era. Here's my history lesson on WVU football.
- We will average 7-8 wins most seasons
- We will have a few heartbreaking 4-5-6 win seasons
- We will have some magical 9-10-11 win seasons
But, your expectations should be 7-9 win seasons. It's the truth. It's who we are. We are a little above average. Accept this and you'll be a much better fan.
Holgorsen/Gibby is the best fit for this program at this time. You need stability to build a program and their tenure is a must.

In before; you accept mediocracy, you're not a true fan, you should never stride to be average.

Considering they only played 11 games in past, and there was not as many bowls either. 7 wins in the 80's is alot better vs. 7 wins now. Hence in point, in 1985 season we finished 7-4, but still did not get a bowl.

Bowl? What bowl would take us after the Oklahoma performance?
