For the love of god, he's not happy enough, he just has to burn the goddamned bridge on the way out.

From Skyler Horward's Facebook page:

(https://www.facebook.com/permalink.php ... 373908&id=100000147421717)

Let’s be transparent here..

Last year around this time i had just finished up my final season for WVU by playing in the Russell Athletic bowl. After the bowl game and a successful 10 win season i went back to Morgantown to gather up some things before headed back to Fort Worth to train for the NFL. Me and a gf went to dinner at Olive Garden like we’d done many times before. When i would go places in Morgantown i’d usually request a table in the back or maybe where there isn’t a lot of people, (you’ll probably understand why after all this) so that’s what we did. We sat in the bar area booths and had a nice little quiet dinner. Again.. like we’d done before. We were always respectful and quiet when going out to dinner, we never wanted any special service or privileges. We just wanted to be normal and have dinner. We both noticed our waitress was a little awkward and acting a little odd. But we both just thought she might’ve been nervous. So we were nice, ate our dinner, tipped over 20%, and went about our night. Like we had done many times before.

The next day we both wake up very sick with a stomach virus so she goes to med express and i went to the stadium to see if there was anything the team doctors or trainers could do. I get some meds to keep from feeling nauseous but it didn’t help.

Nothing seemed to help our sickness so we go back to see the Dr. The next time i went back i had thrown up so much that i had developed a some medical issues and couldn’t lift or train for the NFL for the next month.. major set back.

After wondering what could have made both of us so sick at the same time, we see these screen shots on Twitter from our waitress and her friends in a group chat. (TEXTS BEING SENT WHILE WE WERE AT THE TABLE)

The girl named Mimi was our waitress texting her friends, asking permission to spit in my food. Well, she got more than permission. They proceeded to tell her to **** in it. So I’m not exactly sure what was done to my food. But we got very sick, have medical bills, and missed valuably training time.

So i do what most of you would do. I called Olive Garden to see how we can resolve the situation. They proceeded to offer me a $250 dollar gift card to go BACK there and eat.. so i take it a step further. I call on a lawyer that had been paired up with my agent at the time, From Beckley, WV.

As the case gets started, i find out that my lawyer is contacting my gf in inappropriate ways trying to buy her stuff and take her on dates. Soooo i terminated the case with that lawyer.

After that, i left the situation alone and moved on with life.

Well yesterday, i get some twitter notifications from some of our waitresses friends (over a year later) tagging me in some Olive Garden shoes as a joke.

I’m not sure what kind of people would find this humorous but it’s inhumane. I can take the heat, always been able to. It’s pretty rewarding knowing that you have everyone against you but still succeed. I’m posting this for the next guys in Morgantown to play for WVU who might deal with these types of people.

As i said this happened about a year ago and I’ve kept if silent for multiple reasons..

1. i respect coach Holgerson and all of WVU so i didn’t want to shine any negative light on the program or school or state.
2. Recruiting.. what kid would want to go to a town where this is how a 10 win season, record setting QB gets treated. I feel sorry for the ones that don’t get to 10.
3. Mentioned above, this was right before heading to the NFL so i wanted all distractions eliminated.
4. These cases have a timeline, we have time.

And so why now?

I saw the way Chugs got treated after the bowl game this year and it’s absolutely disgusting. No college athlete should have to worry about if his food will be ok to eat when he’s going out to dinner. It didn’t only ruin Olive Garden and Darden for me, but the whole aspect of eating out in Morgantown. This could’ve happened many times before in Morgantown, but they might’ve been smart enough to not post it online. So i didn’t/don’t feel comfortable going to eat anywhere in Morgantown. And the next man shouldn’t have to deal with that.

I posted it on twitter and got some good ol’ mountaineer encouragement posted below. Hopefully the next athlete plays good enough to be able to go out to eat!!!!!

That is old news. I didn't bother posting it when I first heard about it because it would just give the haters another goddamned thing to bitch about.

I just ran across it wondering what he was doing now-a-days. He still can't get over the fact that he got booed in Morgantown. Not saying that's right, but c'mon now.

well, him posting that **** helps no one, but his ego. that should NEVER happen, and all involved should have been fired, and fined by the Health Dept. Inexcusable. but blasting this on facebook, when its over a year after, and the school had NOTHING to do with it, seems a bit childish. Without the school that he is throwing under the bus, WVU, you know, the ONLY school and coach to even remotely give him any kind of a chance, he isn't making money playing football anywhere. NOT EVEN JAPAN SKYLER.. Come on, if you have to do what he did, stop blaming the state, or the town. Give the name of the restaraunt for sure, but throwing the only staff and school that came through for you, because of some **** idiots that were probably not even from West Virginia? Hey, someone tell Skyler to ask Clint, or Will, or even Jack, if they have this problem.. And the whole girlfriend **** with some lawyer in Beckley? This smells of a bruised ego and hurt feelings. Im sorry, but if you are a starting QB at a High Major, you have to take the boos with the cheers. Just life.. Again, what these kids did, makes me sick, but what he did isnt far behind.

Is he actually suggesting that a waitress took a dump in his alfredo?? I sincerely doubt the friend actually was requesting that the waitress **** in his food. Hyperbole between young, dumb teens.

And the lawyer comments? Wtf. His gf was hot. She’s going to be hit on in any state. Not sure what that has to do with playing at wvu. He just comes off as such a whinny little bitch.

He lost all my respect when he **** on the big east teams.

If someone takes a dump in your food and you honestly can't figure that out, then you deserve it. I'm sorry but that story just sounds made up.

Apparently, WVU is the only school in the universe that has fans who put a disproportionate emphasis on how well the team fares. Ours are the only fans to treat its players badly if they perform badly. I'm not excusing the behavior of drunken, loutish fans because it is inexcusable, but didn't you have some idea that drunken fans who sit and watch poor throw after poor throw, might get frustrated and let you know? Especially if you are the QB who followed a series of very good QB's and were not at their level?!

It's like if Carrot Top got booed following Richard Pryor and George Carlin. Doesn't mean Carrot Top is the worst comedian to ever live, but he will never get the love of Carlin or Pryor. And he might get hit with lettuce and tomatoes.

All that being said, the restaurant deal is awful. Shame on the idiots who work there. If he was getting any good advice, he would have involved the police and the prosecutor's office. It sounds like he has admissions in written and video form. That conduct is a crime and I wish he had gotten some justice.

As far as him losing NFL success due to the stomach issue. . . negro please. Kid had a lot of grit and played hard and did the best he could with what God gave him, which was mostly grit and determination, it wasn't height or arm strength or accuracy or thick skin. Time to move on and shut your gob. Hopefully one day he can look back on his time at WVU with some degree of fondness and pride and realize he had a decent run and did a decent job of managing a pretty talented team. Hopefully he can take what he learned and put it to good use in his regular, non-playing life. Maybe he coaches, maybe he sells insurance, who knows? But I hope he can one day look back and have fond college memories like a regular college student does.

Now go home and get your f ing shine box!

Do you remember when he got hurt and a sub came in and several of our fans in the crowd cheered as if they were happy he got hurt? I remember and and I know it didn't sit right with me and I can't blame him if he feels the same way. That's not acceptable behavior when an opposing team's player gets hurt let alone one of our own players.

That's why I give him a pass when says stuff like this. Some people need called out and I'm fine with him doing that if it changes someone's bad behavior.

If somebody actually DID do something to his food, I'm sure we would have heard more about it.... Just because somebody said, "ha, you should take a **** in it" doesn't mean that literally happened. People say stuff like that all the time....

For the most part I liked Skyler Howard when he was at WVU, but towards the end he just seemed bitter and angry.

Reports are out that Hunter Johnson of clemson is on the market. #1 QB from two years ago. Seen him play and practice multiple times. Kid is the real deal. Will have 3 years of eligibility.

I'd trade pretty much anyone we got right now for him.

I think he'll end up in the mid-west where he's from, Northwestern is actually one of the favorites as his brother played there, and he values education a bunch too.

Skyler Howard, who found his way to 19 wins in 28 starts as West Virginia's quarterback, is now 2-0 with his X-League team in Japan following Sunday's meaningful victory. Howard led the Obic Seagulls to a 21-6 victory against the Fujitsu Frontiers. Last season, the Frontiers beat Obic twice and won their second straight X Bowl. This time, the Seagulls came through with another hype video and another win to move to the semifinal of the Pear Bowl.

I don't care how many xbowls skylar Howard wins. He sucked. If geno, Clint, pat, or Jarrett had the teams he was on, we'd have a lot more trophies in the ol' case.

Howard should do great in Japan, he is one of the tallest players on the team and the fans can't understand his whining.

I apologize if this has been posted elsewhere but I didn’t see it.

Projected OU starting QB was drafted high in the first round of the MLB Draft. If it were me, I’d take the guaunteed MLB $$$. https://www.google.com/amp/s/syndicati ... ore-mlb-millions.amp.html
