You could have knocked me over with a feather when my wife told me he passed this morning. Soundgarden was one of the bands I got into when music started to become a big part of my life. He died way, way too soon.

Amazing voice. In fact, one of the best voices I have ever heard. Sad day.

He was also part of a GREAT album ... Temple of the Dog.

Temple of the Dog is such an under-appreciated supergroup.

Sure, that one song they made was great. I think they were appreciated just enough.

Nicholas Sand, LSD producer

Mr. Sand estimated that he had manufactured about 30 pounds of it over the course of his career, enough for nearly 140 million doses. The number gave him satisfaction.

“I have a vision,” he wrote in The Entheogen Review in 2001, outlining a future in which the police would be replaced by “guides, friends, helpers and lovers” and the human race would ascend to “a new level of consciousness” through psychedelic drugs.

One heck of a musician and song writer, and a founding member of one of the most influential bands in Southern Rock. Gregg had an amazing career with a ton of controversy, but also a ton of success. One can only wonder what he could have achieved without the hard drug and alcohol abuse.

I love the Allman Brothers Band!
