Read somewhere the Rams would save 3million if they release Tavon, I'm sure he will get released after this year. Wish he would go to a team that knows how to use him. You guys thinks it's him or just not a good fit with Rams?

He would thrive in New England.

Tavon fumbled a couple of punt returns. The Rams pulled him from returns. They used him sparingly. He would get a good run and next would run for a loss. I think because they lost confidence in him, he lost confidence in himself. He is still dynamic so I hope he gets a fresh start.

Here is an article on Tavon that has "listed the Rams receiver as one of the five most overpaid players in the league."

Perhaps Tavon has underachieved as a Ram but he will always be one of my all time favorite Mountaineers!

He is not a good pro player, no size or strength. When you can't get off of the line of scrimmage, speed means nothing

Look at Danny woodhead, Wes Welker, Julian edleman, danny amendola, etc. Tavon has more talent than all of those guys

Your blinded by blue and gold if you think Tavon is more talented than any of the receivers that you listed. Tavon has to many deficiencies to be an elite NFL player

The rams have been using Tavon wrong his whole NFL career, they should line him up at the TE position and throw to him over the middle.

What deficiencies? Being shorter than 6 feet tall? So are all of the other guys. Being under 185 pounds? So are all of those other guys. Tavon is quicker, faster, and more elusive than all of those other guys. His only deficiency is his coaching staff.

He runs horrible routes, has no strength to get off the line, drops to many passes etc. all of these add up to him not starting or contributing for one of the best offenses in football. Until he improves on these, he will never be a star in the NFL.

I cannot comment on his route running, but can attest that he has dropped many a pass. I have seen him fumble recently, not sure if that is a pattern. I do have some recollection of him being featured while at WVU as being a weightlifting demon and do not think it is accurate that he isnt strong enough to get off of blocks. He might have poor technique, which is a coaching/effort issue, but I'm pretty sure he is one tiny, giant muscle.

Time will tell about Tavon. Let’s see how he does with a new team. In college he was quicker and faster than 98% of the opposition, and could get by on talent alone. In the pros it takes talent, discipline, work ethic, and brains to be an elite player. I’m not sure if he has all of those attributes.

I’m very happy he’s over paid. He will always be one of my favorite Mountaineers.

I hope he making good choices with his money.

True story -- the week before the NFL draft for Tavon Austin's draft class I was standing in line at a local coffee shop and Robert Kraft is standing directly in front of me, so I started coughing "Tavon Austin" into my hand. He didn't listen evidently.

You do realize that Robert Kraft has no say in who New England drafts. The reason that the Patriots are so good is that the owner is smart enough to let the people he hired do the drafting.
