NASCAR died when they mandated restrictor plates on the fast tracks so all of the cars would go the same speed. THAT is NOT racing. And when they made all of the drivers look like metrosexuals.

Restrictor place racing:

tomorrow is dale jr's (probably)last cup race.

matt kenseth is taking 2018 off, kurt busch doesn't have a ride, and danica has lost her ride but will only attempt the daytona 500 and indy 500 next year.

so, in the last few years, we've lost carl edwards, danica patrick, dale jr, matt kenseth, michael waltrip, mark martin, jeff gordon, greg biffle, juan montoya, marcos ambrose, and tony stewart as cup drivers. not to mention guys like terry and bobby labonte, kenny wallace, robby gordon, and all the other drivers who just.. stopped racing without anyone noticing.

nascar is almost dead.

I have absolutely no interest now that Danica Patrick is gone. I guess I was kind of getting bored with her not ever getting a whiff of a win anyway so no problem here.

It is incredible how far NASCAR has dropped. As a young boy in North Carolina on Sundays you sat on porch and listened on radio all afternoon. While I was never a crazy fan, I would have some interest and even listen on radio on Sirius. However the last 6 or 7 years don't even realize is going on.

Same here too. NASCAR has lost "it". They are trying hard to regain interest, but it's just not there. I would much rather go to the dirt track and watch racing.

Didn't watch until the very end. Was ice skating all day. The end was pretty good. Too bad Patrick went out on her last run. Oh well. **** happens. As it did right at the end end of the race. Cool #3 won. Very righteous respect for Earnhardt shown.

Well ... SOMEBODY had to win.

That was bad.

Restrictor plate racing is not racing.

They ruined the sport, no personalities, no racing no intrigue for the fans. Danica Patrick was never good enough to race in the big leagues, she was a novelty. They made it boring and the same guys won every week. Just like Indy car they let money start to control the sport, to bad, they had a good thing going and blew it to be politically correct
