To publish the private information for all legal NY permit holders is ridiculous and this assclown deserves this kind of treatment for it.... The only people that need to know that information are the gov't and law enforcement personnel... So are we now to treat law abiding private citizens who have gun permits the same as convicted pedophiles? Open them up for harassment? I personally don't care who knows I have a handgun permit and have for years... I don't think that anyone needs my address and phone number though... It's a bit of a deterrent to anyone stupid enough to try to break in to my house if you think about it... To look at this another way, on the flip-side the bad guys could use this info to determine which houses in a particular neighborhood are easy pickings to see if the residents have a gun permit... If looked at purely from the non gun owners perspective...

I think the bad guys should have to guess which houses have guns. That way it is a better chance for them to get shot.

Perhaps it's the names and addresses of folks who DON'T own guns that might be concerned about this disclosure? Easy pickens.

one thing that i think people are not thinking about here is your typical burglar has no desire for a home invasion they want to to go into your house and rob you when your not there so all this dumbass has done has made it easy pickens for criminals to know what houses they need to go and case and figure out who is home when they are home and when they are not and go in and steal the one things criminals love to steal GUNS...

I like the law that the state of Virginia passed if this guy would have published this information in the state of VA about registered gun owners in VA he would have found himself in a nice cozy 10x10 cell getting three hots and a cot.

it is things like this that realy fuel the fire of us that will never agree to a full on gun registration requirement, we all know that would get published at some point to the general public therefore the only gun most of us would ever have on a regisitration would be the weapon we have that we use for ccw... i gave the rest of my guns away and i can not for the life of me remember who all i gave them too sorry libs

Publishing gun owners addresses was a stupid stunt. I don't know what they thought that would accomplish.

Didn't that publication publish that to attract attention and get freaks to talk about it ?? Aren't those really rich areas ( not being an ass, I really don't know ). So what anyway, anyone can be visiting anyplace, anytime and be packing heat, negating the relevance of that map......so WATCH OUT CRIMINALS ! The legal brigade is out there defending ! No more robberies as we arm America to the hilt....those criminals will be scared now ! Arm teachers and babysitters !!!!
