I'm really glad to see Simms on the field. He definitely needs to be the guy returning kicks for us this season.

The WVU red zone offense is much better than last year. They didn't settle for any field goals at all, and no stops on 4th down.

Since our FG unit is a bit weak, why settle for a 50%er?

It is just one game but it looked like they made that big improvement that the conventional wisdom says teams should make from game 1 to game 2.

The defense will need to get better when we face the likes of TCU and Kansas State and so on but that's what the game next week is for in a way. The offense will be tough to stop if the o-line can continue to create lanes for our running backs and we have a balanced offense. I think Will Grier looks very good so far and can be as good as advertised. As mentioned by a number of others, the kicking game is a big concern.

Why limit it to the Men's team. The womens team has some that could prob kick the crap out of the ball.

"Grier scored out at a 98.1 QBR .. highest qb ever under Holgerson"

Does anyone know what the QBR was of Geno when we beat Baylor 70-63?

Don't off hand know...but I can tell you this. On Grier's TD pass to Sills that left the defense in the dust with acres around him, did you notice Grier slam patting the football just before he threw it to Sills? He KNEW it was in the bank.

That poster must have been wrong, because according to ESPN, Geno's QBR was a 98.6 that day. Hard to argue with 45/51 for 656 yards and 8TDs being higher...
