I look at it like this....this was kind of a trap game. Coming off OU looking toward TT and KU.....yes it was ugly but a win is a win. Good teams find a way to win.

I truly believe that this team is something special.

Maybe the team is nervous with Esa coming back and they were off their usually flow know things were going to change?

Brutal hangover game. Just to survive that is a testament to this team's intestinal fortitude.

Dax with the crazy save and a cold Carter with the deep contested 3 AND then two FTs when you have to have them. Good googly moogly.

How about our 4 second defense at the end though. WTF happened? Nobody defending the inbounder. OK. That's fine, send 5 to cover 4. But 3 of our guys were not even to half court when the pass was made to the tall guy. Some kind of odd lapse on D. Lucky the 3 pointer was a brick.

Sooooo relieved to get that win. Next up!

Lots of speculation about what happened tonight, but I think you are spot on. Hangover game for sure. Every team has one. Every team goes through that lull at some point in the season. Hopefully, ours doesn't last beyond tonight.
Yes, we now get Esa back, but we have to go play a very hostile and pissed TT on their court.
We need Carter and Dax to be back to their normal greatness to win.

Tonight was a throwback to past years nightmares. Shoot 28% and 60% from the line. Baylor is a bad matchup and always has been fornus...their length really alters our offense. Esa would’ve made a 7 point difference tonight. We won and that is most important but this gave me flashbacks Gonzaga and our past losses

TT will be real tough on Saturday, but that’s what happens when you are a top 3 team on the road. Win or lose, it’ll be a learning experience. I hope Esa doesn’t force things too much and they just let the game come to him

Seriously guys, go back and look at this possession. It won the game and was the best defense I have ever seen.

I'll take being ranked #2 and winning any way possible.

Have to give credit to Baylor for having and executing a good defensive strategy against us - they didn't allow us to penetrate and made us put up a lot of bad shots. It felt like a letdown but we showed a lot of scrappiness that will be necessary to grind out some of these games. Going forward nothing is going to be easy.

I'm always scared of teams that play zone and can rebound against us. Baylor almost has the perfect anti Huggins style and it showed tonight.

I would never question Huggs coaching but was really surprised by how much Chase played. He is pretty quick for a little white dude and good on the ball but becomes a liability in half court defense. He has a great offensive IQ, always knows where to be kinda of like Nate did and is an underrated passer.

I hope the guys can bring a little more energy Saturday and absolutly can't wait to see Esa in action. He is the exact piece we need right now, especially if T Bucks is struggling.

True that. Baylor always seems to be a bad match up for us.

Where do they get this never ending supply of talented 6'10" thin guys that can play? Dax and Buckets Trucked them selves in amongst the trees a couple of times and just got the ball shoved down their throats. JC was smart enough to avoid that fate, but couldn't get open all night.

What a grind. Glad we won.

Baylor was Texas A&M light. Same size inside but with less talent everywhere on the floor.

No surprise here.

That wasn't a hangover game. We need to learn that there are shots between a layup and a three.

I agree. We don’t seem to ever attempt mid-range jump shots. Probably because we are such a mediocre shooting team. We definitely need to improve in that area.
