I'll have to check that place out. My wife and I love a good gyro. There have been a couple of good brewpubs pop up in Delaware as well. And, of course, Rocky's Italian Ice that proudly serves "West Virginia Hot Dogs" (slaw and sauce). Our basketball program at Belpre had a nice 15-year run. My sophomore year we had the worst record in that time frame, 8-12, but made it to the state tourney. Ever since 2004 the inmates have kind of ran the asylum. It just goes to show how important a coach is to a program, even at that level

Do you think our shooting will improve? Last game it did, will it continue? If so, the sky is the limit.

I know it is very early in the season and TCU may or may not be legit this year but having 7 of 10 conference teams in the AP top 25 is impressive. Even Okie St is getting votes at this point. Either way, whether the league is that strong or not the perception that it is can only help us come the end of the season if we can stay in the top half of the conference. Once conference play starts we will have plenty of quality opponents and hopefully some quality wins.

Well ... lets see how this will play out.

It's early in the year ... the Big XII is kicking butt and playing everyone tough, even in their losses (except against Kentucky ... Damn It).

The Big Ten is getting kicked around by everyone, including New Jersey Institute of Technology.

By the End of the year, the Pollsters and the Talking Heads will have the Big 10 teams back at their "rightful" place in the Top 25 so they can "justify" their high NCAA Seeds.

And everyone in the Big XII, except for Kansas, will be seeded lower than what they have earned.

Just like in FOOTBALL.

Williams was at 37% a few games ago and Staten was at 41%. A correction should take place there and the freshmen should get more comfortable as the season progresses. I think we'll be a better shooting team but not necessarily a team that fills it up from 3 on a nightly basis.

I'm bored, so I thought that I would give a status update of all the WVU players that left the program in the last three years and/or are still playing somewhere.

--Volodymyr Gerun is a senior with the University of Portland Pilots. His numbers are not bad: 10.5 ppg, 6.2 rpg and 1.1 apg.

--Remi Dibo is playing for a team called the Worcester Wolves in the British Basketball League. No stats available on the Wolves website for Remi.

--Darrious Curry. Whereabouts unknown. Last known team was Casper College.

--Paul Williamson. Williamson is a senior at Alderson Broaddus U and is average 4.9 ppg so far this season.

--Jabarie Hinds is a U. Mass and doing reasoanbly well: 7.5 ppg, 1.2 rpg and 2.5 apg.

--Terry Henderson. Terry is biding his time during his transfer season at NCSt. He recently got into trouble for shooting up someone's care with pellet gun.

--Eron Harris. Eron is sitting out this year due to his transfer to Michigan State.

--Aric Dickerson is playing at Deleware State and averaging 3.3 ppg so far this season.

--Aaron Brown is playing for St. Joes and having a pretty good season so far, averaging 9.3 ppg, 3.3 rpg, and 0.7 apg through 12 games.

--Keaton Miles. In his first season for Arkansas, Miles is averaging 4.0 mpg and 0.4 ppg. In other words, he is not playing very much.

--Tommie McCune is having a pretty good season so far for the Oakland Golden Grizzlies. He's averaging 10.1 ppg, 5.4 rpg and 1.5 apg.

--Pat Forsythe, in his third season with the Akron Zips, is averaging 10.2 ppg, 5.3 rpg and 0.8 apg. Forsythe is the leading scorer on the Zips roster.

I don't know what any of this means, but I found it all to be interesting. Carry on.

Thanks for the update.

Of those ... I always thought Tommy McCune and Aaron Browne would be really good players for WVU.

Yeah, but it is fun watching these guys play. I just listened to their interviews for the first time this year, and they seem to be a very tight group who is genuinely having fun while doing work. Staten Being the business man. These past few years there has been nothing but drama and pouting, this team rallies. I like it. Not that I am looking for us to lose, but I want to see how they act after a one or two game losing stretch. I am not comparing play only attitude when I say it reminds of the loose nature of John Flowers and company

I wasn't overly impressed with TCU's win over Ole Miss until I started watching them play Kentucky at Kentucky. They were ahead at the 9:33 mark in the second half by two. I'm sure Kentucky will pull away & win the game but it will be based upon free throws.

The Kentucky Ole Miss is going into overtime. This is the Ole Miss team that TCU beat by 12 at Ole Miss's home court. Apparently they have upped their game.
