Barring an early exit, here are some of the players coming back next year: Geno, Stedman, Sticks, Tavon, Nehlen, all of the running backs, all but one of the o-linemen plus a returning Josh Jenkins, about half the defense and all of last year's freshmen who are being redshirted.

Holy sheet!

And...another year with the "system"

We ain't seen nothing yet as far as Holgy-Ball is concerned.

I'm not crying about too many threads but some times you want to post something that's cool but don't want to start a new thread. Well here's your place. If you feel your post will required more then one page of couch interactions then by all means start your own thread. I thought about this thread when I came upon this nice little tweet from sideline reporter Jed Drenning.

Quote:
Three of WVU's top 5 scoring performances since the start of the 2008 season have come in the last five games.

And of WVU's top 10 all-time passing performances, Geno has 4 of them, including 1 and 2.

Hey...I recall a former coach saying that 2012 was the year last year.

Next year we lose Bruce and Julian, and they are going to be very hard to replace. Also Najee Eain and Tandy from the defense.

From the offense, everyone is back except Barclay, Tyler Rader, Starks and Devon Brown. None of which are irreplacable. Mainly we need new, better olinemen, as much as it pains me to say that. Spain needs to grow the hell up.

I'll put together a quick starting lineup next year, give me a few.

Yea, but he's going to be the backup to either Ivan or Stedman, who will both be "as can go" guys. I didnt feel like doing a 2-deep, because frankly, it would be too hard and involve too much guessing. But Nehlen will def play.

My biggest question is what to think about Spain. The guy is a giant and was a huge recruit, but he sure doesnt seem to want to play. He could be the starting RG if he wanted to be, he's certainly big enough. And lets face it, the skill positions are not question marks, but the offensive line is.

You've got Marquis Lucas and Haughton-James coming to the o-line, two redshirts out of Miami who will have a year under their belts as practice players. Both were supposed to be big time.

Avery Williams at DB and Shaq Petteway and Isiah Brice at LB. I think the defense will just reload.

Yea, its tough when they havent played though. This time last year we all would have assumed Spain would be starting and have already become our best lineman. Turns out he aint even close.

I don't really put much stock in the recruiting services and I wouldnt put any of those guys as starters until I see if they can play. Plus, the entire left side of the line is pretty much set in stone, i really doubt that r-Frosh can beat out established 3+ year starters. I know it COULD happen, but i doubt it.

And i though about putting Petteway ahead of Francis (hence the ? next to his name), but I think Francis is a Bruce Irvin-type athlete that just needs a year to learn the system and then will play. But yea, we'll be deep at LB, not so much along the d-line.

Maybe we can pick up a hot JUCO. That's been working out for at least one player a season.

Don't forget Cody Clay was moved to O Line. He may not be ready next year but I forsee him being a standout lineman someday.
