Unfortunately, he's already said he's going to play this season for OU, then report to the A's in the spring - and the A's are good with it.

Adam Shuler leaves as a grad transfer to Florida. Wasn't starting here, doubt he's gonna get much more playing time there, but who knows. Probably just looking to go home

It sounded like track & field (the lack thereof) was a strong influence for him to transfer, in which case Florida is solid choice. Best of luck to him.

Yeah something about WVU not having discus toss I believe, granted Shuler was kind of a headcase, but he was effective at times, just also disappeared. Hopefully with these transfers coming in we still have some alright line depth and that everybody pans out.

OK, now is the time to talk to a couple Pac 12 schools and expand by two or four teams. NOW!

Who do we take and how many?

Colorado? Ok.
Arizonas? Maybe.
Don't see any of the cali schools working well. Idk. I'd rather see a raid of the ACC, but that isn't likely.

Right, this would be awful for WVU if Big 12 added any Pac 12 schools, the travel is bad enough, the lack of rivalries, I'll pass on any West Coast school. A big part of Pac 12 weakness is timezone. Only teams that would move the dial would be USC and UCLA and thats not happening.

As the offseason bores along, sports outlets try to pass the time with the (mostly meaningless) predictions, rankings, hypotheticals, etc. ESPN posted a “most exciting player for each top 25 team” and....it’s not someone you may expect for WVU (especially when looking at the list)

11. West Virginia: RB Alec Sinkfield
Though quarterback Will Grier and wideout David Sills V remain the bell cows of the West Virginia offense, the Mountaineers have been buzzing all offseason about redshirt freshman Sinkfield. "Sink" could give West Virginia a home-run threat out of the backfield, which would only make the Mountaineers all the more difficult to stop. -- Trotter

From Castaway to Possible Difference Maker (Trevon Wesco)

Players Media Session (6/21/2018)

Not sure if that last link had videos or not but I did watch the interviews on youtube last night. https://www.youtube.com/user/MSNsportsNET

Here is a playlist of Grier's highlights.

I think BYU, UCF, or USF would add as much or more to the Big 12 in football as anyone that we could pull from the Pac 12. Would be great to have that footprint in Florida for recruiting. For Football and BBall I still think Memphis has has a decent amount to offer.

Please not BYU, I don't want to go further west. I definitely agree on UCF and USF. Big TV markets besides the recruiting door being opened. I'm not as high on Memphis, but the pickings are slim out there. Cincy would be high on my list. This post feels like Groundhog Day from a few years ago...

Agreed, I'll pass on BYU. And I'd take two of the these 4 schools: UCF, USF, Cincy, or UConn, whichever espn, fox, cbs, amazon, netflix say would increase Big 12 payouts.
To me Northeast is worth a ton more than West coast, unless of course its UCLA or USC, but again thats not happening. PLus it would be a nightmare to have a conference in three time zones.

SI's "Most Underrated Player on Each Top 25 Team"

11. West Virginia: WR Gary Jennings

Though David Sills V was a finalist for the Biletnikoff Award last season, Gary Jennings actually led the Big 12 with 97 receptions. As a reliable possession option, Jennings is a big reason why the Mountaineers' passing attack figures to be among the best in the country. -- Trotter
