scooter gennett just hit 4 home runs for the reds against the cardinals, the first red to ever do that. 5-5, and 10 rbi.

my best friend took his kid last night, asked me to go but my kid had baseball practice last night. I'm pretty well pissed off this morning. I told him I want a ticket stub.

1 more win and they'll get a 4 game sweep of the cardinals.

The Reds can mash with just about anybody. The bullpen has gone from a liability to a strength. The bullpen has the 6th best ERA in all of MLB. The ERA of the starting pitching for this team is almost 6.00, which is dead last in the MLB by almost a full run.

if they had replacement level pitchers, this team would be a contender.

So what should they do?
Trade Cozart now. He's never been better and will certainly regress to mean production as the season wears on. They should be able to find a decent, MLB ready starter with a favorable contract along with a prospect or two
I think you have to explore what you can get for Billy Hamilton. As far as trade value, he probably has the most on this team right now because of his unique skill set. He's a pulled groin/torn hamstring away from being out of the league.
