Falling Skies is a summer series. Season 2 just ended a little over a month ago. I like that it is a summer series, it allows for a quality show to watch during that time. I thought season 2 was really good and looking forward to season 3.

I have the pilot episode of Revolution on the dvr. I thought I would give it a try. My 17 y/o son already watched it and he thought it wasn't that good. My son and I have very similar taste so I am going in with low expectations.

although i like post apocolyptic shows/movies.. it's over done and is always the same.. jericho, the world after people, walking dead.. you get the idea.

it'd be nice to have a show, have a disaster during the show, and have it resolved in the end..

i miss big brother, the only reality show i've ever watched.. season 14 just ended and i picked it up on season 10.

Revolution has potential. Seems like a slow starter though.

I'll give it 4 episodes to make its case.

Ditto on Revolution.

I was excited because it sounded like a great idea for a show...but I was disappointed with the pilot. It seemed like they revealed way too much. The acting seemed a little stiff.

I'll give it a few more episodes before I pull the plug.

I seem to gravitate toward Fox and USA shows. I think USA's "Characters Welcome" phrase is aptly put. The actors fit the characters perfectly.

Shows that I'll probably watch this fall:

Fringe (probably the last season)
The Office (Definitely the last season)
Homeland (Claire Danes is spectacular)
American Horror Story
Bones
Dexter
Boardwalk Empire
Covert Affairs

I've heard that AHS is basically going to be an entirely new story each season...is that right?

Going to try this Vegas show with Michael Chiklis and Dennis Quaid premiering tonight. Wil try Go On with the guy from Friends.

Missed Fringe last year after getting into it. Lost interest. Not sure if ill try to catch up.

Something happened with Fringe...not sure if it got sold, different director or what...but it's not quite the same as it used to be.

Hell on Wheels isn't bad either.

Yeah wasn't the same. I've toyed with Hell on Wheels, but I didn't know if I had 2 motorcycle based shows in me.

I still miss Terriers on FX. That was a great little show. Cancelled after 1 season of course.

Umm...Hell on Wheels is a "contemporary" western based on the building of the first transcontinental railroads.

(Don't worry, I initially thought it was a motorcycle show too, lol.)

Fringe lost me when they crossed over to the alternate earth.

I suppose that's where it started to lose its appeal for me, but that's the direction the show was headed from the beginning.

What gets me is the fact they only talk about ONE alternate universe...seems "unrealistic" for them to delve into the ideas of alternate universes, then to limit it to only 2. I'm hoping they open up the plot this season to reveal much more.

I just hate it when shows I like start to fizzle....like House did, but at least they gave House a proper ending.

I will be tuning in to this season of "American Horror Story." I'm interested to see how they do the second season. The first season started off good, but the writers kind of lost their way half way through the season, in my opinion.

I am a huge fan of "The Good Wife." If anyone hasn't watched it, you should check it out. The lead character is female, but the story line is always interesting. The lawyers on here should like it.

Another show that wont start til later in the fall is "The Killing." Last season we found out who killed Rosey Larsen, this season is supposed to be a different story line from my understanding so I'll be tuning in to that.

Boardwalk empire already started, I have to catch up on the last two new episodes.

Adding the Walking Dead to my tv line up, that's about the only change for me. Watched Seasons one and two while I was on vacation and can't wait until 10/14 for season 3.

Returning Shows:

Boardwalk Empire
Southpark
American Restoration
Known Universe
Fast and Loud
Eastbound and Down
First 48

Show getting on my nerves:

True Blood, these witches and this fairy crap is a bit much.

Other additions:

Counting Cars

Yep. Even thought it's the CW and this show is probably supposed to be for teenage girls, I'm watching this. It's freaking Green Arrow! If I had to pick a favorite super hero, he's it.

I am also giddy for fall television.

Shows in the DVR rotation by channel:

- Homeland/Californication/Dexter
- Boardwalk Empire/Treme/Curb Your Enthusiasm
- Justified/Always Sunny in Philadelphia
- Raising Hope/The New Girl
- Walking Dead
- Go On (new Matthew Perry show- after 2 shows I'm willing to give it some more time- kinda funny), The New Normal (warning- it's REALLY over the top with some of the gay stuff, but it's funny as hell so far)

The Wife is excited about (and I will sit through) the Big Bang Theory, Mike and Molly, and Grey's Anatomy. (Although I might bail on Grey's Anatomy. There has never been a show in television history that is more hilariously shark-jumped on a weekly basis.)

I don't get Big Bang Theory. How is that show syndicated on like every channel?

"Copper" on BBC America. Best show on TV.

"Haven" on SyFy. I love Emily Rose.
