No, but someday he will be. I didn't think anyone would notice.

Charlie Sifford won the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 2014. Real shocker that was.

Wow! Hope he found another gig after the day the music died.

Actually, Holly and the other performers on that tour were using other musicians as a backup band. The bass player was none other than a young Waylon Jennings.

After Holly's death in 1959, Mauldin played on and off as an original Cricket with other people and eventually became a recording engineer.

And now you know... the rest of the story.

A family friend of mine. Mr. Ron Browning who was killed by a random break-in by a 19 year old female in Beckley with no true motive. Ron was not a celebrity, but a good man who mentored me to a respectable life 20+ years ago.

Some things just aren't explainable, and this is one of them. A murder in Beckley is rare, but this is the first time it has touched someone close to me.

Every time I hear his name I see him with that towel in his mouth. Had some kick a$$ players and teams at UNLV. They dismantled Duke in the 1990 NCAA Finals.

knew he had c.o.p.d. also knew he had been in the hospital recently. so sad. didn't think he was close to the end of his life, though.

there had been talk about him and shatner being in the next star trek movie. there goes any idea of that, sadly. hopefully they still find a way to honor him in the next film. and maybe, just maybe, correct the star trek timeline.
