Chris Cornell of Soundgarden/Audioslave....damn.

Amazing voice. In fact, one of the best voices I have ever heard. Sad day.

He was also part of a GREAT album ... Temple of the Dog.

Temple of the Dog is such an under-appreciated supergroup.

Sure, that one song they made was great. I think they were appreciated just enough.

ONE song???

Have you ever listened to the entire album???

UGH.

Yes I have, and there was one song they stumbled over themselves to release, and the rest of the album was just mediocre.

Your musical taste leaves a lot to be desired. Plus, I hope you understand the reason the songs were written in the first place.

Just saying.

Was it a tribute to a dead junkie? I was hoping it was for the starving children in Africa, because I hear they are goiNG HUUUUNNNNGRRY! Yeah they going HUUNNNGGGGRRRY! GRRRRRRR.......

Very sad indeed. The only solace is he and his family can move on from the struggle with Alzheimer's.

RIP Glen. He was one hell of a picker too.

I think the Band Perry did one of the best covers of Gentle on My Mind ever.....skip to 0:40.

R.I.P. Mr. Lewis..I really haven't appreciated his humor since I was twelve but then again I'm not French. Nevertheless, he dedicated himself tirelessly to beat the drum and drive donations to help ill kids. Much like Danny Thomas.
Heaven awaits.

Dick Gregory, ground-breaking African-American comedian and civil rights activist. From Wikipedia:

"Last time I was down South I walked into this restaurant and this white waitress came up to me and said, "We don't serve colored people here." I said, "That's all right. I don't eat colored people. Bring me a whole fried chicken."

Then these three white boys came up to me and said, "Boy, we're giving you fair warning. Anything you do to that chicken, we're gonna do to you." So I put down my knife and fork, I picked up that chicken and I kissed it. Then I said, "Line up, boys!"

"Just being a Negro doesn't qualify you to understand the race situation any more than being sick makes you an expert on medicine"

Finally starved himself to death? Sorry-Couldn't resist. He was a groundbreaker as a comedian with a social conscience.
