Still don't like soccer much....can't completely figure out off sides and how to attack the goal.

They deserve props for a great season.

Aside from rifle, when was the last time a WVU team played for a national title? 89 Fiesta Bowl?

It's a shame to lose, but great to get that far - doesn't happen very often.

I have no idea what the hell this game is all about. I can't understand half the rules, but it seemed to me that even though we spent most of the time on their end of the field, once we got down there, we didn't have a really good offensive scheme. We couldn't get anyone into position to knock it in. Also, there were way too many shots from like 90 feet away, and right at their goalie.
Regardless, these ladies made us proud. I hated to see any of them break down crying at the end. That was heart wrenching to see.

Many of those were from Thierry-Paul(?). It looked like she was frustrated and was just gonna bang from the left wing whenever she got the chance.

It was much like the OSU football game...things are way different when you're forced to play catch-up.

Tough loss, but great season for the girls soccer. I agree it was two very different styles of play. Wish it was 2 out of 3 games played for the title instead of 1.

I hate it so badly for them. We were the better team out there..I am convinced (and not by my WVU bias). I think if we played them again tomorrow we would win. Good season Ladies and thank you for representing us so well

Kadeisha Buchanan just won the Hermann Trophy for being the best player in women's college soccer. It is a very big deal--like winning the Heisman.

The offside rule- a player must have two defenders, usually a field player and the goalkeeper, between him or her and the goal at the time the ball is played by a teammate. A player cannot be offside on a throw in or corner kick.

She was only the 2nd defender ever to win (in about 30 years). As rare in soccer as in football. She's truly amazing.

We should keep those aliens out of our country. They steal playing time and awards.

She's not an Alien.. I'm pretty sure she was born on this planet...Besides, isn't Canada just the 51st state in waiting?

Not to mention she is here legally and is not from one of the 7 countries that are on the temporary ban list (drawn from the Obama 2015 terror prevention report). But **** it, let's go out of our way to not only be wrong but to interject politics into threads that aren't in the soap box.

Eat a bag of dicks, fuckface.

That's fabulous! Congrats to coach Izzo-Brown.

They're almost the opposite of the football team in rankings. They're highly ranked because they return 9 of 11 starters. The problem is that the two graduating players were starters in the Olympics and World Cup and one was the best college player last year.
