I wonder if Baylor will take a look at Dana after this year (assuming they go with interim guy now). Dana would probably be in their price range, runs a similar style and philosophy to what has worked there, and he is a Texas guy. It would not surprise me in the least if Dana is on their list if we go 8-4 this year, and I would bet he would take that job if offered

Now if we can only get him to come here, after we fire Holgs.

Just a joke, relax Francis.

So, my question is do we really believe Jimbo Fisher didn't know what happened with Winston. That he didn't help him trying to bury case against Winston.

Briles never could instill any discipline on the BU players.

Lack of discipline is the reason they lost to us that year.

And the reason they lost to Michigan State in the Bowl game. They should have and could have beaten Michigan State by 28 points. Instead they acted like IDIOTS.

Great offensive coach ... in EVERY sense of the word.

Somewhere WACOBEAR is crying tears while masturbating to his Art Briles shrine in his mother's basement.

Good on Baylor to handle this in a professional way, I think Starr should have been fired too probably for his role in everything, Baylor will now regress to a bottom feeder, I could easily see a mass exodus of transfer out, and recruits decommitting.

100% sure there will be additional lawsuits to follow. Baylor is going to pay dearly for their ignorance.

That and it wouldn't surprise me if the NCAA doesn't get involved as well.

Briles isn't going to be easy to replace....Baylor had one losing season after another until he arrived, but in the end the school sold its soul for football glory. Whatever comes next is deserved when you read a summary of the independent review that was done.

Never ever liked Briles. And agree, good for Baylor to cut ties and not defend. But this is one of the reasons I like WVU coaches & players... Win or lose we appear to run clean programs, or we hide the dirty very well.

Looks like the staff will stay intact. They need to drop a few games early so the give-up in those boys will kick in by game 12. Wacobear is the type of douche that will change his name to FtWorthTCUhornfrog. Until they put the stadium on campus he's never set foot there. That's if he's ever been to a game or the state of Texas. He's probably a Turd fan.

How many times has Tom Herman ignored calls with a Waco area code today?

It is amazing to me to see people speaking up for Briles. It is the first time anyone from Baylor has defended anything!

I feel bad for the recruits that signed with BU and for that matter the current players as well. Who knows how many would have bailed if Briles was gone a few months ago? Who knows how many would bail if the stupid NCAA didn't make it so hard for them to do so?
Just another example of how the NCAA and its moronic rules are ruining the lives of the "student"/atheletes they falsely claim to be protecting.

I believe THEY CHOSE to attend the school, correct? Then THEY CHOSE to stay at the school while multiple rapes allegedly occurred, correct? Then they even chose to stay after seeing the disciplinary action, or for that matter, lack there of, correct?

we live in such a pussified world, where we never have to take responsibilities for our own decisions. There will always be people who "feel bad" for us, and look to throw blame somewhere else (multiple rapes over multiple years, but it's the NCAA who is ruining the lives of student athletes???)

grow a pair wvafaninSC!

there's a lot worse things that can happen in life than getting a free education and not being able to play college football for art briles...

What about the ones who chose to go there BECAUSE they knew they could get away with things?

EDIT: I see that's three in a row against ya...I'm not tryin to be a D. I think the NCAA should let any players who want to transfer to go without sitting out a year.

Baylor will be able to attract a GREAT coach.

They built it, and THEY will come.

That new stadium is a freaking Taj Mahal.

The story has been percolating for a long time. I can't help but think the recruits knew there were issues with the football program.
