That woman announcer for this game is terrible. Sounds like her tongue is too large for her mouth.

THEY ADVANCE!

Topped Elon 75-62

Unfortunately they'll play 3-seed Maryland on their home court on Sunday...who ironically played Bucknell and beat them 103-61.

Things don't look good against Maryland. WVU looked to get some momentum going into the lockerroom when they hit a 3 with seconds left in the second quarter, but Maryland hit an almost full court shot on the inbounds play. It was a ridiculous shot. WVU is down 38-24.

I think the ladies deserve our respect for what they accomplished this year. They won the Big 12 tourney and made it to the second round of the NCAA.
Great Job!

ESPN put out a way too early top 25 for the women and WVU is coming in at No. 14:

"14. West Virginia Mountaineers
An inconsistent regular season turned into a good finish with a Big 12 tournament title. The run also exposed the world to Tynice Martin. The 5-foot-10 guard and her 18.6 PPG are back, along with three other starters.
Mike Carey also brings in a top-20 recruiting class. The Mountaineers should be the biggest threats to Baylor and Texas in the Big 12."
