Sagarin has Kansas as somewhere between half a point and 2 point favorite. It's hard to win there, and Kansas will be up for this game. On the other hand, they play a 7-man lineup, so it may be tough for them to play on Monday after a Saturday game. Jackson played 40 minutes against Tech and Graham played 37.

Kansas has been in a lot of close games lately. They won by 1 at Tech and 3 at K State, and lost at home to Iowa State, by 3. But, they defeated Baylor and Ky at Ky in the two games before that. I think they play down to their opponents, but they'll take WVU seriously.

Beetle could make a difference at the end of a close game.

If the game is officiated as poorly as it was yesterday then we may not have a chance. I agree about Beetle. He needs to start in place of Phillip. Our last 2 games started off slow scoring wise with Terik starting. On top of that, Beetle was the only player with meaningful minutes to not commit a foul yesterday. I'd roll with him. It can only help his experience going in to next year

If Braggs was out, then I would say Kansas would have a slim chance of winning, but with a 7 man rotation and at Kansas, it will be a tough game.

I hope we press non-stop, going 12 deep, with Bolden and Bender getting 8 to 12 minutes. This would allow everyone to play hard and expend full energy the whole game. I would think by the 10 minute mark, Mason will be worn out and Jackson will have fouled out. My main fear is we see Higgins as ref not the KU roster.

My fear is that we somehow get a big lead then get comfortable and let them back in it. Whatever we do we have to attack and be aggressive. Keep our foot on the gas.

Mason was sick Saturday. If he's not fully recovered, Kansas could be in trouble.

This is going to be a really tough game to win. I hope we pull it off but I'm not holding my breath. I'm super stoked to watch it though.

I'd say we have about a 12% chance of winning this game. We will have to play the perfect game. We need a big game from Esa and for Dax to get untracked. 20 points from Bolden would certainly help!

With what I've seen from multiple games lately, refs are going to be like roaches, everywhere on everything... Especially for the favored home team. Blowout KU but not because we play poorly, because we won't be allowed to play at all.

Profound analysis, you might as well just say score more points...

That seemed to be our m.o. earlier in the season but lately we have had real slow starts (specifically on the offensive side) but the teams we were playing weren't able to take advantage. If we start off slow against Kansas on their home court I think we'll be facing digging out of a hole that we'll stay in all night. Hopefully we do start out strong.

In order to have a chance to win at the Phog tonight we will have to be near perfect. Our press will have to be smothering and we have to do the little things. Make FTs, hit the boards, not let Josh Jackson or Frank Mason take over the game, and we have to dictate the speed & tempo of the game. Should we get any sort of momentum or big lead we can't get complacent and blow it. Not against a team like KU. Bill Self is a great coach and you better believe those guys marked this game on their calendar after the ass whipping we laid on them at our house. My heart says 72-70 WV, my brain says vice versa, KU. Let's Geaux!

Did anyone see the end of the Kansas-Texas Tech game? 5.4 seconds score 79-79 and I am told Kansas won on a foul.

As an official I would almost have to have body parts lying on the floor or Kansas would have had to have a good look at the basket to put them on the line. I am just curious about the play.

Kansas isn't the usual Kansas this year.

They are not BIG inside.

I like our chances in this one.

Don't be surprised if we win by double digits.

PS - I can't believe I just typed that!!!

I read about it. Jackson got loose on a pick, and the Texas Tech player had to try to stop him after he was "going downhill" whatever that means -- I guess Jackson had momentum. Tech didn't complain about the foul call, but suggested that the pick was illegal.

Tech had the ball with 30-some seconds left and tried a 3 with about 20 seconds left. They could have run some more clock. No idea why they took the shot when they did.

They win big, Huggs goes apesh*t and uses the game tape for the tournament. WVU wins the B12 tournament and is a strong seed for the madness

I would love to go into Lawrence and come out with a double digit win however we are notorious for playing up (or down) to our level of our competition. Are we capable of blowing them out? Absolutely. Is it likely? I just don't see it. We did dominate KU and Baylor earlier at our house but we typically play better at home. This game will be a dogfight and more than likely the last possession will end up winning it. Anything other than our A game will result in a long night at the Phog. Let's Geaux!

Beetle was the only reason in the first half of both games that we put it in gear. We were stagnant in both games until he came in.

If only we kept our foot on the gas in the games we gave up double digit leads. We'd be in 1st place in the conference right now.
