Your version of conservative consist of being against anything that a liberal favors. Now that Hitler II is in office the things you were against are now good. Such as a very large deficit. Its OK if Hitler II says its OK. Apparently having low employment is bad when Obama is in office but it was good when Bush was in office. Guns in the hand of mentally ill was a thing that everyone should think think is bad. Not now! No died in the wool Hitler II would object to things such as the massacre at VPI by a mentally ill person with guns purchased legally. There are numerous other examples of this. You probably thought is was awful when Bill Clinton had a budget surplus in his last couple of years but Bush fixed that along with low unemployment. So as a conservative you are in favor of large deficits, high unemployment and mentally ill people able to massacre innocent people with guns. Its amazing what you so called conservatives love. Apparently a free press is bad because they call a lie a lie. You can't stand that can you? When IKE, a real conservative was in office there was a big difference. Being a conservative used to mean something now its being against anything that's good for the country. Oh the shame.

eer44fan, So you think anyone who loves liberty and their country, who is for low employment, who is for a free press, who doesn't admire dictators, who likes breathable air, who doesn't admire or love Hitler I or Hitler II ,is bad. I suppose the next thing you and Hitler II will start telling us how much you admire North Korea and their dictator because he's a strong leader. Why don't you move to Russia or North Korea if you like that kind of leadership? Wait, you're hoping Hitler II will make this country like them.

Oh and Sandy, in case it didn't appear in your media feed bubble

House intel head: 'No evidence' of Trump campaign contact with Russia

Of course this article is from The Hill. I'm sure this is part of the free press that you would be fine with having silenced.

In the interest of playing fair let me say what Trump could do that would start changing my mind:

1) Produce Tax returns with little to no conflict of interest
2) Quit villainizing the press
3) Quit tweeting
4) Get his info from briefings and not cable news

Even though I think many of his ideas to grow the economy are wacky, I need at least two years to see how his policies affect it.

Ok I'll play. It's not an easy answer. There are many things that could make me take a more negative stance toward Trump as president.

1) If he began to follow his predecessor and undermine the Constitution and Bill of Rights.
2) If he began to follow his predecessor and continued the making treaties that undermine our National Sovereignty
3) If he began to follow his predecessor and signed bills that actually had provisions to censor media

I don't like all the executive orders. It is a bad practice that our presidents have been abusing for years.

I think his handling of the media is uncouth at best. However a lot of you all act like Obama never showed contempt for his adversaries in public. It happened on an almost daily basis, but forget I said anything. That's the convenient thing to do anyway.

The trouble with black colleges and universities is many of their students with degrees are barely at high school level and not even close to where a college graduate should be academically. I had a couple senior math majors from Hampton University with summer jobs and they couldn't do tenth grade geometry. The jobs I assigned them only required a high school knowledge of math but they were overwhelmed with that.

Sandy that was a racist jackass thing to say. Way to slam all black colleges and universities, black college professors and the black kids that graduate from them. Generalize much?

I'm sure there are many fine students graduating from these institutions. You or your organization are obviously lacking the proper interviewing skills necessary to identify qualified candidates. But you take it out on an entire race. Shameful.

If the site owner was still around he'd ban your sorry a ss for such talk. I don't want to hear another word out of your mouth about Trump or anyone else and their problems with race. You have demonstrated yourself to have terrible judgement on this issue. Way to go Hitler.

Saying that HBUCs are not exactly elite institutions isn't racist, if anything it lays out the reasons why these institutions need more funding and other support. Sandstone's comments could have been better stated, but he isn't saying anything that Trump's wanting to give these schools more support is implying. These are on the whole not great schools that need to improve.

But yes, painting all of these schools and students as inferior stinks badly of racism. Good students can come from undistinguished schools.

Not all of these schools are solely attended and staffed by blacks at this point. Bluefield State and West Virginia State are HBCUs. Nether are particularly black at this point.

(I think I taught for Bluefield State for a semester. The community college branch in Summersville changed hands so many times when I taught there that I don't remember. If I did, it is obviously a great academic institution with impeccable hiring practices, seeing I was hired over the phone and never physically met anyone in the administration.)

Well then I'm glad the Trump administration has the foresight to give these institutions focused assistance.
