I ditched DirecTV a few years ago for Dish Network because they jacked up the rates over time. Then Dish did the same thing, so I ditched them too. I just got SlingTV (which is owned by Dish) and have been watching it on my Mac and iPad. I am really happy with it. We have DSL and it works fine, although there are only two of us in the house streaming at the same time. I just bought a Fire Stick today and am going to see how it does on an HDTV for the game tonight.

Update: I am really happy with SlingTV. The Fire Stick works really well on the TVs. The picture isn't as high quality as cable or dish, but the difference isn't too great. I would recommend it to anyone who wants to cut their TV bill by 2/3.

We cut the cord over a year ago. Like Eers, we stream using DSL. I use FireTV HD boxes and primarily stream DirecTV Now and amazon prime. The cost is significantly less than the satellite providers.
