Injury update:
Ferns: Out for season, may need shoulder surgery.
Kyzir White: Head Injury, left second quarter. Status Unknown for TCU.
Mike Daniels:Injured Knee, Status unknown for TCU.
David Long: All signs point to him playing.
Toyous Avery: All signs point to him playing.
Marvin Gross: Status unknown for TCU.

Obviously, losing White really hurt, probably the heart of defense right now, really need him back the most. With the way the CB's are, Mike Daniels being ready will be big too.

Either our # 1's get healthy quickly or this TCU game will be REAL ugly for WVU. The Pat Miller like coverage and all the lousy tackling yesterday isn't going to cut it @ TCU (or against any team with a pulse)

It's going to be interesting to see what the opening Las Vegas line on this match up at TCU is. Too soon to predict with all the injuries but I expect TCU to be favored by at least 8 to 10 points. Stay tuned .......

I'll be there. I want to see this defense live and in person.

I'm going to say line will be 10 if White doesn't play.

I looked back through WVU football history, the last time WVU beat an AP top 10 in a away game was believe it or not against Oklahoma in 1982, they were ranked 9th. In fact this might be the only one. Other than that Dana's win at #11 Texas in 2012 would probably rank as second best, followed by at #11 Boston College in 1993. I went back about 50 years.

I just became alot less confident in winning this game. I think this also makes TCU's win at #6 Oklahoma State even more impressive.

Good lord, our entire defense is banged up. Definitely not what you want to see. Who's spot do you think Long takes? Tonkery's right? Unfortunate because he's been kind of a positive in an otherwise underwhelming defense.

Long becomes #2 at will and Sam. Mike is a backfill from Sam with long taking Sam.

Why can't we just call them Middle, Weak and Strong?

PS - I like Benton, but he has been making some boneheaded plays lately.

During Coach Holgs presser today he was asked about previous QB's getting hurt when outside the pocket... "Clint got beheaded against TCU.. Still mad about that non-call."

Maybe the defense sets the tone early & gets a nice shot in on "Kenny trill" next weekend. LET'S GOOOOO!!!!

(btw its my first post in over 4 years; feels good to be back!)

I'm not feeling too confident about this game. Only way I give us a chance is that it's not a prime time (7pm or later) game bc Holgorsen has an atrocious record in these games (something like 1-10 I think). It's going to be a shootout.

Kickoff is set for 330pm.

This should boost your confidence level!

WVU has only beaten two top 10 teams in away games, last time was 35 years ago vs. OU in Norman. So, I'm not exactly brimming with confidence on this game.

I think we need to infiltrate several agents to spend two weeks stepping on horny toads all around TCU until they are so distraught and upset they can't play ball. Just saying.

Really? How does this history have anything to do with a game in 2017? Now, if we were playing an old timers game it might have some relevance but, today not so much.

Yeah, I never put much stock into the history of beating ranked teams. The 4 year or 5 year turnover cancels out any type of same look team. It's 2017 & time WVU football starts stepping up in the big games (away or home for that matter). WVU seems to always match up well w/ TCU so lets just hope we show up & play 4 quarters of solid football!

We've beaten 'top ten' teams in Bowl games since then.
