Agree, we will be ranked. So let’s assume we go 8-4 this year...with a loss to OU, say like 37-21...is this years 8-4 but having beaten 2 ranked teams and losing highly competitive games to VT and TCU better than last years 10 win campaign with a lot of close wins but no top 25 wins?

I say the program is better December 2017 than it was December 2016

You may be spot on with your prediction but I don't know how that sham biased committee can justify Clemson at 4 when they lost to Syracuse. Oklahoma should move to 4.

It would be a step in the positive direction, especially with the recruiting class we are getting coming in. Just need to use this as a sign we can win ranked games. I'm hoping the guys see that they're capable of playing with anybody when they cut out stupid ass mistakes. We're set up well for next year, and if Grier and Sills come back, Morgantown could be a lot of fun.

Seeing how the once ranked team that we beat is now 4-5 overall and 1-5 in the B12, I'd say arguably TTU was a better team last year. The only team they've beat in the B12 thus far is Kansas. I honestly think that at this point last year, that we had a better team then. This group has made improvements, and could finish the season 9-4 with a bowl win. If that happens, I would say that this years team is on par with last years team. We have to get past KSt first. I have a feeling that it's going to be another bloody knuckle game with them.

Listening to Dana Holgerson after the game, it sounded like he took some control of the play calling. Either way excited he did and we ran the ball alot more. Even though we averaged only 4.1 yards per carry, it makes a huge difference for helping the defense. Can certainly win against KSU, and Texas playing this style. Both will be very tough games though. Just wished we played this way vs. TCU and Virginia Tech too.

Iowa State BEAT TWO teams ranked in the Top 5 (then), Top 10 (now).

Iowa State must be ranked.

Remember, when they lost to Iowa, Park was still there QB. Kendt is now the QB and EVERYONE recognizing him as playing better than Park. WITH Kendt ... Iowa State BEATS Iowa.

I wasn't poo pooing about our win over ISU. It's our best win in a couple years for sure.

I thought we ran too much, with 20-25 passing (and 2 more that should have been completed) and a so-so running game. WVU only scored 20 and was stopped on 8 third downs -- more passing in earlier downs would have avoided third downs.

In the 1st half, the offense was great. in the 2nd half, when IOwa State went to 4-man front, more passing.

I agree that as soon as they put 8 in the box, then short passes should be the go to play. I think when other teams scout us, they will see that we have 3 WR's that can be homerun threats, so they will respect that with the safeties playing back.

At this point I'm more concerned with what our record is going to be by the end of the season. I don't see us beating OU, but as Disney has always taught us, "dreams can come true." I see us having a good chance to finish the regular season with an 8-4 record. If we go 8-4 and then can win our bowl game, we should be a top 20 team at season's end.

I think that our program has been showed respect by the pollsters this year. We've been in and out of the rankings all season. Usually a loss would knock us out of the polls for at least 2 to 3 weeks.

Funny how Wisconsin has not played one single ranked team and yet is ranked 8 and Northwestern which has 3 losses gets up in the polls because they beat the team that beat OSU and PSU. They lost to Duke. The big 10 is a **** joke but the media and committee keep pushing to get them in. You can't tell me there isn't a huge bias in this so called impartial committee. They are pushing what ESPN and the money trail wants. These fucks have ruined CFB.

WVU in Big 12, Rutgers and Maryland in Big 10, Missouri and AM in SEC, Louisville iN ACC should tell you all to need to know about the state of College football.
No one would want Texas in ACC or Big 10 except the TV networks. So yeah it all sucks. I think most fans want a Eastern conference of, PSU, Pitt, WVU, Cuse, BC, etc.
