Didn't see a thread, maybe I'm blind. What channel is the game on, and can someone post a link to watch the game?
This is going to be harder than we think. LOL i think rpi's set up something like WVU - 112 rpi vs LBS - 28 rpi. so....

It's on AT&T SportsNet (formerly Root sports) but you can stream it here. You might want to use an adblocker. http://www.ustream.tv/channel/wv-wildlife

We are so bad (I post this on every game thread). Anyways if I’m Carter or Miles I’m pissed at whoever our recruiting coordinator is. “Magic” Bendor is awful. And no one planned an recruiting another forward last year ? And no Culver wasn’t going to make that big of a difference. Someone has really been dropping the ball

Sometimes I think Konate talks too much trash, then he has games like this and I totally think he can talk all he wants because he is a beast at the rim.

He is our Will Grier. Without him we would be hurting bad in the paint

Bender just seems awkward out there even against Long Beach.

I'm really not sure if Bender will ever develop. He just doesn't seem have "it", whatever that is. It's like the announcers said, he just seems too timid and passive to be a productive player for WVU.

Bender is a wasted scholarship. I did NOT see that coming when he was being recruited. He looked pretty skilled. Routt looks much better to this point, and that's saying something.
Konate is a monster. I haven't seen anyone this good in the paint since D'or Fisher. I hope he can do this good against Big 12 bigs. His continued development and success, and Daxter's consistency are the keys to our season, until Esa gets back.
Carter has to either take over towards the end of games, especially if we start going stagnant, or give him a little rest late in games. He's been a little sloppy when he's gassed. Staten never seemed to have that problem.
Things look a lot better today than they did after Germany. Long Beach State was actually ranked #26 in the rpi before this game. We were #126 lol. LBS isn't bad.

Good analysis MichaelJLucas. If Konate can stay out of foul trouble he looks very promising this year. His 10 foot shot from the foul line could really break down defenses if he continues to make it. His presence in the paint on defense will make our opponents pull up for jump shots rather than penetrate. What a relief to see Harler step up and make some shots. I could see him developing in to a Alex Ruoff type of player. Carter and Miles leadership is a must this season if they want success. I like how Carter is the general on the floor. He will set up the offense when necessary and push the ball when they have numbers. A good PG can make or break a team and they are lucky to have him. West and Allen will develop as the year progresses. They are far from their best. West switched roles this year and is settling into more of a 4 man rather than a 3. Allen is young and just needs the repetitions at this level. He'll have a couple of huge games this season. My concerns, this team doesn't remind me of a Bob Huggins rebounding team. Besides Konate they don't have any big/strong players position themselves for rebounds. We are really missing another BIG, Ahmad. This team is good, but have the potential to be great with Ahmad.

Yea, I thought this game was going to be tougher.

They played Oregon State down to the wire. Hmm.

And, I agree about Routt. I think he looks like he has potential. He moves very well for big man. Hell, I think I would give him a shot at QB if I were Holgy.

I really don't see a roadblock for us in this tourney. It looks like St. Johns might be the best team but I think we are better.

I would like to see Teddy Allen get more minutes, and would prefer to never see Bender on the court ever again. That kid is about as soft as a marshmallow. Can you imagine him trying to guard Rico Gathers?

I agree, though I feel like Huggins feels forced to play Bender, prob. bc he talked him into to coming to WVU, kind of like Deniz Kilicki.
I think its also too early to say anything on Konate, though he was definitely a beast against LB. I want to see how he does as main focus in the paint against teams like Baylor, Kansas, And Texas. All these teams have legit 7 footers he will be up against. If he has a game like he did not last night vs. Baylor, then I will say he's a beast.
