I know A handful of prominent donors who were very upset when he left and recently stated they would take him back with open arms. Not my sentiments, but you could be more right than you know. Could get him at a "bargain" price as well. Ugh is right.

Ask bobby Petrino if these type of allegations mean anything. Rich rod will be coaching somewhere within 2 years, hopefully we never see him in Morgantown again

RR has too much baggage at this point to coach anywhere but a low tier team. He doesn't exhibit the type of character that I would want leading the WVU football team.

I do think the zone read spread offense is much better than the air raid offense. But, I'll take Holgorsen as the head coach. His signature season is just around the corner.

BTW, we have a great basketball team. Time to enjoy that ride.

This topic has been beaten to death. It's like having a jaded girlfriend or something. He's been gone for a decade and his name is still brought up every time there is a coaching rumor. Why would any of us want a sub-par coach to come back to coach at WV? He has a completely different scheme than what we currently have and now he is tarnished by the current allegations. DH just signed a new contract and by all indicators, our team should be improved next year. Why in the world would it even be a possibility that DH would get fired and RR would come back?

Even if he did come back, I'm still watching WV football.

This article includes a link to the letter that the attorney for the complainant, Melissa Wilhelmsen, sent to the Arizona Attorney General. Its a bit long (9 pages) but is full of accusations that, if are only 25% true, are very damning of Rodriguez. The accusations are pretty salacious.

Only two things would make me quit rooting for WVU. One would be if we joined the ACC. The 2nd would be if we re-hired Dick Rod. The former wanted nothing to do with us and the latter left for greener pastures.

In case no one noticed, sexual assault allegations are finally getting the attention they merit. Rich Rod is an enormous Title IX liability to any school that hires him. He's done.

We knew ALL of this stuff about him ten years ago. Think of what has changed for us in the meantime. We are miles ahead of where we were as a program, with better facilities, professional AD leadership, and more money playing in the big leagues. Rich spent that same ten years as a one trick pony, taking his spread option act to Michigan and then Arizona and finding extremely limited success with it, and no doubt continuing to bone cheerleaders along the way like he did here.

Coach Rod will never be a head coach in P5 again after these allegations. That said, it’s time to stop hating on him. His departure was more about lazy and corrupt president and AD (Garrison and Pastilong) than about leaving for a bigger program.

Now that he’s been fired twice since leaving and had his reputation tarnished, I think he’s paid the price for leaving and we can quit bashing him.

I guess the thing we will never know is whether or not he was actually a good coach, or was he just bailed out by Pat White and Steve Slayton.... he’s really only had 1 decent season since leaving WVU.

There were two related camps of Rich Rod haters ten years ago. Many hated him because he was a slimeball, and others hated him because he was a disloyal slimeball. I didn't necessarily hate him, but it was awkward because I had just moved to Ann Arbor, right before he did. I thought it was important that he fail, bigly and publicly. And he did. I was satisfied, even though I heard way too many hillbilly jokes in an area that owes much of its cultural flavor to the Appalachian outmigration that staffed its mills and factories for decades. But I was willing to wish him well from that point forward, because at root he IS one of us.

The problem, however, remains HIS root. He is still a slimeball.
