I think the next two games will determined us winning the regular season championship. I say 2-0

Tough. I think we struggle in Lubbock but beat Kansas. 1-1.

When in doubt press press press. I say we go 2-0, but I think when we play teams the second time around we drop a game or two.

Did Kansas get its "bigs" back yet?

If not, then we beat them.

Tech will be tough, but I think we take them down.

Unless the zebras change the game.

Hope I’m wrong but I see us losing to Tech.
Our margin of victory in road gam s has been very thin.
Tech is likely the best team we’ve faced.

We rebounded back with a win over Kansas.

I would feel better about these two games if Esa had three or four games under his belt.

He has experience, not a freshman. He is ready but the question is, Is the team ready for him? The first half builds chemistry so Esa will be a bench player like buckets (I guess initially). After a few minutes and some positive scoring, which we lacked last game Bob will feel much better about keeping him in. My thinking is the feel of the game will determine how much time Esa gets. He was a major contributor last year on important games and it is assumed he will repeat his talented performances against Tech.

This factor may give us a comfortable margin and keep Carter out of trouble.

I think we won both. Our performance against Baylor was subpar. I loved that JC, Dax and Beetle were all out shooting about 10 minutes after taking to the media. That may mean bupkis Saturday but to me it said something about their character. One of the reasons TT has played us well the last 4 games (3-1 WVU btw) is their FT shooting. They hit like 90% and we hit 60%. We are drastically improved in that area this year. We win both

Yea I agree with some posters about Saturday possibly losing. I wouldn't mind it so much but I really want to be number 1 for at least 1 week.

Tech will be tough at home. Last year, WVU played Tech in early Jan. after advancing to # 7 in the rankings and lost by a point in double overtime (some poster mentioned that he hoped WVU didn't get ranked 7th this year). For some reason, Watkins started and Macon only played 4 minutes (with 3 turnovers). Perhaps he was returning from an absence because of a death in the family. Ahmad's stats:

MIN FG 3PT FT OREB DREB REB AST STL BLK TO PF PTS

30 5-7 1-1 2-5 3 3 6 1 2 1 1 4 13

Good teams bounce back from bad performances. The Baylor game was bad. I don't think they shoot as poorly or get out rebounded against Texas Tech. WVU wins a close one hitting crucial free throws at the end.
WVU beats Kansas at home. No other explanation other than we have Kansas's number at home. Plus, they are so inconsistent this year.
2 - 0 for the good guys. Honestly, out of the next 3 games Texas worries me the most. They are great at beating our pressure defense which is our bread and butter.
