I noticed Teddy Allen taking the ball up a few times, he looked smooth, I could see him playing shooting guard next season, if he can work on his 3 point shot. Might be his best shot at making the NBA too. He would be an undersized three at the next level but perfect size for 2.

Starting 5 next season:
Konate
Harris
Ahmad
Allen
Bolden

Things to work on offseason:

Konate, nothing but watch game tape
Harris, three point shot
Ahmad, slim down, to increase agility.
Allen, three point shot
Bolden, nothing but watch game tape

His showed some good defense yesterday -- several deflections/steals and a tipped rebound.

I wouldn't be shocked if Brandon Knapper was a starter next year. He was supposed to be the heir apparent to Carter and he's been with the team all year.

Also, aren't we expecting Derek Culver to arrive?

Konate should continue to get better and IMO Bolden needs to start and play more minutes. He's our best shooter and probably the second-best defensive player, at least among the guards.

I don't know what Huggins sees in Harris but obviously he knows more than I do, so I'll accept his opinion. It must be rebounding and defense because he sure can't shoot.

I can't see Allen ever being a starter and I'm not sure that Lamont West isn't next in line to catch the Terry-Henderson-Eron-Harris Express. He's a very similar player but a less reliable shooter.

Ahmad is Ahmad and he's good when he's not bad. That's about all you can say about him. He has the skills. Needs to prove it more often.

It's too early to talk about next year's starters, and yet...I just did.

Konate needs to work on his outside shot, if he can extend his range out to 17 feet he will pull the other teams big man out leaving clear lanes for our guards to penatrate the paint. It will also open up the lane for offensive rebounds

No way Allen starts next year. Although getting better he doesn't really run offense, can't shoot the 3 and he's a liability on D...can't move his feet. I am curious if Knapper will start or McCabe. Also, Huggins has made it clear that there will be attrition next year. A couple of the guys on the team now will not be on the team next year. I think Harris may be one of those.I think whoever shows they can play D will start. My starting 5 next year are:

Bolden
Knapper/McCabe
West
Ahmad
Konate

Off the bench:
Allen
McCabe or Knapper
Culver
Harris
Harler
Bender

Why would Harris leave??? He's starting and getting alot of minutes even with Ahmad back. My guess would be West and Hunter. Though I wouldn't be upset if Harler, and Bender left too. On Allen, I think he could cover most of the shooting guards in Big 12, he wouldn't be running the offense as a two. I think that will be either Bolden or Knapper starting.

There is a decent chance both of those guys start, don't forget about white chocolate too.

It's his length. He doesn't do anything flashy defensively, but is one of those guys that makes the team defense look better. He could also develop into a pretty good rebounder.

Another year in the system helps Harris and most of the other guys. If I had to pick anyone to be gone, my first thought would be Hunter, then maybe Bender. Routt seems to be getting more of the backup minutes to Konate.

I'd love to see Culver be able to step in and start. I really think Konate's natural position is power forward; that's certainly where he'll have the best shot at the next level. His shooting range has increased to 17 feet; he hits those jumpers in the key regularly.

Routt is a walk-on who was given a scholarship because we had one available. Doubt he'll get it next year.

If your 4 are McCabe, Doomes, Gordon and Culver, I haven't read that McCabe is signed yet and Culver may or may not ever arrive.

If all 4 show up, even if Routt goes back to walk-on status, we still have an extra player.

If I had to guess, I'd say that Hunter is currently the last man off the bench, but who knows?

The two extra commits may end up in prep school instead of being on the squad next year. Knapper went to prep school when there wasn't space a couple of years ago.

Routt played his rear end off last night and has given this team exponentially more than Bender in much fewer minutes. From my perspective he's earned that scholarship and the clock has ran out on Bender. I would expect Huggins to politely show Bender the door after the season if he needs a scholarship

Yea, I agree on Routt. He has been hustling his butt off and producing in the way we need him to.

And, I am DEAD serious when I say Holgy should look at him as a QB.

Well they have all signed LOT’’s so you would have to assume they are all going to be on campus. Culver is in prep school so I’m sure he will make grades. Gordon is Jr college. And Doomes and McCabe idk why they would show up unless they didn’t have grades and went to prep school.

As far as taking the scholarship from Routt that would be Pretty shitty but whatever. I’m fine with getting rid of Bender he is terrible but idt Huggs would do that? Maybe I’m wrong
