Quality win and good to see guys like Dax, Teddy, and Beetle each have a big game. If these guys can just all keep rolling into March this team can go far. Good bounce-back win.

Even in a win that was a horribly officiated game but at least it didn't result in a ton of foul shots and a point swing in TCU's favor. TCU is all grabbing and mugging and walking and not getting called for it.

Great win. Refs let them play tonight. I didn't see anything on either side to complain about. Not sure how much Fisher would have helped this team. They are pretty good.

Did I see Konate coming back into form in the closing minutes of this game?
I hope so because dadgum when he isn't doing well, it seems like the team struggles. I know Carter is our main workhorse, but Konate is an important pillar as well.

Nice way to close it out. Exceptionally smart on Huggs part keeping our leading scorer for the night on the bench to close out the game. We even pulled away. Pure genius

At the time we needed defense, and protect the ball.....something Allen needs and will improve on.....it was a stroke of genius.

That's the Jamie Dixon defense. He did it at Pitt. Do it until it's called. If they don't call it, keep doing it.

The defense was very good, much better than against OSU. WVU would have kept TCU to its lowest point total in Big 12 games (tied with Kansas) if they hadn't allowed a very late offensive rebound and putback.

Great to see aggressive Dax back. The flu must have really zapped him, which is why I think he didn’t get those couple of starts. I didn’t realize the flu sent five of our players to the hospital!

Maybe the flu has more to do with our struggles the last couple of eeeks than anything else?

That gives me hope for March!

We only shot 16 Threes in this game. I am guessing that is below our average. But, we made 9 of them (56.3%). WAAAAY above our average.

We shot 61 Total shots and made 31 (58.8%) of them.

Are we better when we shoot less Threes???

Hmmm ...

Those are my thoughts too. There was a video going around of one of the players throwing up in a trash can courtside earlier this month. The flu can wipe you out, and WVU's style of play requires fitness. Losing so many games late like they were is a fitness issue, and I don't think anybody is going to accuse Huggins of not having his team fit. I think there is a good chance it was the flu, and they will be ready for the NCAA tournament. Fingers crossed!

Yes. I think we led the nation in 3 point attempts for a while, we are much better working inside out.

He does have very underrated handles. I'm really worried he might transfer though, seems like the kid in boot camp his first year that is just having trouble handling life being hard.

I don't think it's been the main problem in the games where we've struggled but for whatever reason this team does not run the 1-3-1 defense well and it has cost us towards the end of games. Glad to see us not turn to it on Monday night....hopefully we don't see it again this season.

Teddy should stay. I think he wants to get better, and knows that Bob can do that for him. He's a very naturally talented scorer. Has limitations, but somehow overcomes not being as athletic as Dax, say, or as long as Harris, or even as strong as Jevon, but if he sticks, and again, I think it's a no-brainer he will if you listen to his comments, he will learn to play better defense. He has a lot of what makes Trae Young so good, IN MY OPINION, before I get blasted, he has a slower shot, and seems to lack the absolute confidence that Trae has, but then Trae wouldn't be what he is, had he came to WVU either. My guess there, is that he would be in about the same boat as Teddy at some point earlier this year. I digress. Teddy will stay. If Culver is say as good as Ebanks coming in, which is likely, then we will be scary next year. Beetle is picking his game up. I bet he leads the country in drawing offensive fouls. Add in that phenom at PG Jordan McCabe and the Doomes kid and I'm telling you, on paper it's scary.
Bender is coming around. Sags is learning and visibly getting better throughout the year. Lamont is making 3s again. Throw in an elite PG, and a very talented 6'10"+ big with good footwork, and next year screams THIS IS THE YEAR.... but then, so does every other year..

I thought we were in some trouble this year, I mean we got off to a wonderful start when out of the blue we lost Macon. Then the whole Esa thing.. I know we got up to #2, but I really thought we were staring down the barrel of a 19-20 win season, if we got lucky a couple times.. and we're already there. Huggs has done a good job with these kids... Just about any other coach out there would have lost this team by now. Sags pouting and getting in his own head either by fouling out nonstop, or by buying in to his press clippings and getting an Erin Harris type thing going, Bender giving up instead of staying with it, Beetle never learning to play good defense, Lamont checking out when he had to be more than just a kick out 3 guy, Teddy either running wild like a Drew Schifino or Aric Murray, or just quitting to transfer when **** didn't go his way, Wes Harris quitting or feeling betrayed when Esa waltzed back in and played despite some of the worst boxing out and defense I've seen all year at times, and Esa transferring instead of sitting half a year.

ALL of these things were distinct possibilities at different points during the year, and a lesser coach would have lost at least one or two by now.. Huggs hasn't lost any of his players.. Are they flawed, indeed. But give the man some credit, besides Dax and JC, just about every one of these kids could have bailed on this team. The more I think about it, the more I'm impressed that he's managed to do what he's done this year.

Is there any evidence that any player wants to leave? What are we talking about?

More signed recruits than openings.

That doesn't necessarily mean a player wants to leave.
