Centrist? How so?

He supports Path to citizenship, medical marijuana, not cutting money from the VA...he mentions fiscal responsibility but is pretty vague on the specifics other than “holding people accountable”, pro-education, renewable energy, living wages...

Seems pretty liberal to me. Calls himself a progressive so I tend to believe him. I like the guy.

What conservative stances does he espouse that makes him centrist?

His platform looks pretty Libertarian to me. His stance on immigration is a little more on the liberal side. Which is understandable since his grandfather was an immigrant. I’m as much libertarian as I am conservative, so Ojeda and I are pretty close on a lot of issues.

Will have to watch what happens to his popularity if he gets too popular and the right wing hit squad pounces.

I like just about everything I read on his official site. Some of his priorities are sorely lacking detail...but you can only include so much info in a short “position on the issues” blurb.

Kudos to Eery for supporting a self confessed progressive! The teachers sure do love him!

I know a lot of teachers, and they would have not been willing to agree to a 5% pay raise with no fix to PEIA. The Union itself was fine with a pay raise, but that’s not why the teachers went on strike.

I agree. Although I don't have a dog in this hunt I feel that PEIA was the pressing issue and I feel they got bought out to a certain degree. Unfortunate.

there will still be a task force to tackle the issues of PEIA.

Didn't get this news here in Va. That's good news.
