back where he belongs ?

Life is about to change a bit for Bruce Irvin with the Oakland Raiders. But now, it won't have anything to do with the swirling rumor that the team could potentially release him in a cap-saving move.

Instead, the Raiders and new defensive coordinator Paul Guenther are going to roll out Irvin at a new position in 2018, and it's one that should not only benefit him in a big way but also superstar Khalil Mack as well.

As Adam Caplan stated on SiriusXM NFL Radio, the Raiders are "going to make some changes no one knows about," with one of them being that "Bruce Irvin is mostly going to play defensive end going forward."

Not long after this news was released, Irvin took to social media to let his feelings on the big change be known, and apparently, he's a pretty massive fan of it all. Not only was he thrilled about not having to drop into coverage, but he also doubled down by stating how much he hated having to do it.

He's always been a 3-4 olb. irs his only every down position. Why Seattle tried to fuk with him as a 4-3 olb is beyond me. The only other thing he can do is be a third down 4-3 d end. He's still going to be an olb just with his hand on the ground a Lil more.
