I'm going with an "A". There are 351 teams in NCAA Div. 1. WVU was one of the last 16 teams playing. That's better than 95% of the other teams.

B+ only because we lost to Kansas 3 times (and blew a lead to Kentucky). We beat Kansas once and Kentucky its a solid A-, and if that win against Kansas was in the Big 12 tourney it would be an A.

For reference I think the last football season was a C+, the 10-3 season with Skyler a B+.

Pretty much exactly what I expected preseason in wins and tourney results. Anytime WVU makes sweet 16 the grade is an A.

The Beilien and Huggins era has spoiled WVU hoops fans bc once Huggins is gone, I expect a huge dropoff like football.

If we are grading the team based upon WVU vs the world, then I give us an A or A+. To be top 16 of however many hundred basketball teams is outstanding and should be appreciated.

However, if you grade the team based upon the very high standards that Coach Beilien and Coach Huggins have established at WVU over the last 15 years, that are unbelievably high, but that are what we demand and expect ourselves, then I give us a B+.

Tied for 2nd in conference reg season
Runner up in Conf Tourney to KU
Sweet Sixteen

We are so very lucky to be enjoying this run of Mountaineer success. We are a national household name in basketball and football. Leaps and bounds from when I was in high school and college.

We are getting there. Unless you are cheating your ass off, you don't build dynasties overnight. We have been on a pretty steady uptick in our major sports since about 2000.

My Final Answer is a B. I believe the winner of the Villanova / Kansas game is the National Champ and we hung with both of these teams. Good job kids, thanks for playing and see some of you again in the Fall for another season!

Radio,

You can say just about anything on this website and I will probably find it amusing. But if you mention the Buffalo Bills (damnit you made me say their name) one more $&@!! time on this website, I'll fashion a jailhouse shiv with various items from around the house and I will hunt you down and do to you what the Dolphins should have done to them a long time ago.

I'm talkin creepy next level shit. Don't even get me started on the New England. . . . .gahhhhhhhhhh!!

I think this kind of shows how well Huggins does, without the 5 star guys the other schools are getting. Average national champion had 2.4 5 star players, the mode and median would be 2. To give Huggins anything lower than an A for this season is punishing him for previous success.

A-
We lost to the B12 champ in the B12 tourney and the NCAA champ in the NCAA tourney. Plus we had a very good regular season.

One of the best teams in the Huggins Beilein era.

Interesting stuff in this video. Lamont West hurt his wrist in the the second half of the season which would correspond to his shooing woes. Huggins is really high on West. He likes Doomes attitude. And if you listen til the end the real payoff is hearing Bob Huggins saying SOMEONE else should eat like a bird!!!!!!! Oh the irony!!!!!!!!

I'd say B+/A- as well. I think the team and Huggs are worthy of an A rating. Like has been said previously, they lost in close games to the champs of each tourney they played in. In my opinion, the only thing that slips them back a little bit in their rating was all the late game lapses that caused them to lose games that should have been wins. WVU had what it takes to hang with anybody this year, but they didn't have what it takes to close out on double digit leads on multiple occasions against better competition. If we had a couple guys who could affectively drive the lane, it would go a long ways for us. we need guys who can draw more fouls consistently.
